Research On The Protection Mechanism Of Minors On Short Video Platforms In My Country

With the development of Internet technology and the popularization of smart phones,short videos are integrated into the daily lives of minors as a new form of entertainment.However,some vulgar and infringing content in the short video continues to pollute the sight of minor users and harm the physical and mental health of minors.In response,the state has promulgated laws to regulate the short video industry,and the platform itself has gradually established a minor protection mechanism.This study takes the short video platform's protection mechanism for minors as the research object,and selects the "Tik Tok" platform as a research case.The content analysis method,text analysis method,interview method and other research methods are used to investigate the platform's minor protection mechanism the study.And analyze the existing characteristics and underlying causes of the platform's minor protection mechanism.In addition,this article draws on the advanced experience of the protection of minors on online platforms at home and abroad to find ways to optimize the mechanism for minors.This will further promote the more efficient and high-quality operation of the protection mechanism for minors on short video platforms,and achieve the ultimate goal of safeguarding the rights and interests of minors and protecting vulnerable groups.This article believes that the current protection mechanism for minors on the "Tik Tok" includes two parts: provisions for protection and technology for protection.In the provisions on protection of minors,the "Tik Tok" platform allocates the rights and obligations of the three major subjects of minors,guardians,and platforms to regulate the behavior of the subjects and promote the operation of the protection mechanism for minors.In the protection technology for minors,the "Tik Tok" uses the content review mode to implement content protection for minors,and regulates the media use behavior of minors through the anti-addiction model.Although the "Tik Tok" platform has established a comprehensive protection mechanism for minors.The protection clauses and the protection technology are complementary to each other,and work together to protect minor groups.However,there are still many shortcomings.The short video platform should improve the knowledge of the mechanism,the rigor of content management,the credibility of privacy protection,and the effectiveness of network surveillance,so as to support a strict "protective umbrella" for minors.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter sorts out the background of the protection mechanism for minors on short video platforms.The second and third chapters study the minor protection mechanism of the "Tik Tok" platform.Analyze the protection clauses and protection techniques for minors through content analysis and text analysis.Chapter 4 summarizes the existing features of the "Tik Tok" protection mechanism from both positive and negative aspects.On the one hand,it pointed out that the minor protection mechanism complements each other through clauses and technical associations,and works together to protect the minor group.On the other hand,from the perspective of user knowledge,content protection,privacy protection,network supervision,etc.,examine the existing problems of the mechanism.The fifth chapter discusses the causes of the characteristics,including the contradiction between the "child-friendly" system and the disadvantaged status of minors,the regulation and insufficiency of legal provisions,the effects and disadvantages of sports governance,and the contraction between taking responsibility and chasing profits.The sixth chapter mainly compares the advanced experience of domestic and foreign network platforms in the protection of minors,and proposes suggestions for improving the protection mechanism of minors on short video platforms in China.
