A Study On The Mentality Of Contemporary College Students And Its Guidance

China is undergoing a comprehensive and profound social change,during which all sorts of progress and conflicts will be manifested to a large extent by social mentality whose problems certainly will penetrate into the campus that full of not yet fully matured college students.As college students' mentality is a barometer and weather vane of the times,having a positive attitude or not is not only related to the physical and mental health and future of college students themselves,but also the country's harmony and stability.Based on 2,505 questionnaires data analysis from 22 universities as well as in-depth interviews with 43 students from 5 universities,this paper analyzes contemporary college students' mentality and its influencing factors,also provides the scientific guidance.In addition to the introduction,this paper mainly includes the following contents.The first part is about contemporary college students' mentality.The questionnaire and interview show that contemporary college students are generally in a good state of mind.They are satisfied with accessed social support,agree with mainstream culture,have a sense of self-worth and subjective well being,however,there are still some problems,such as morally knowing but not doing,low confidence in government's behavior and system,discontent of social equity especially the distribution.Besides,there are significant mental difference among different genders,majors,grades,urban and rural areas,only-child and non-only-child.The second part is about influencing factors of contemporary college students'mentality.From individual,peer,family,school and society five aspects the factors affecting the mentality of contemporary college students are analyzed.The immature individual psychological development,peer group interaction,family relationships and parenting,the utilitarianism of moral education in colleges and universities,the disconnection between intellectually moral education and life,market economy,imbalanced interests brought by social stratification,lag of political system reform,cultural diversity as well as the penetration of the mass media all have a broad and deep impact on the mentality of college students.The third part is about the six mentality guidance to college students.Firstly,strengthen self psychological intervention to achieve a mature individual mentality;Secondly,insist on value guidance by leading college students' mentality with the socialist core values;Thirdly,deepen moral reform by enhancing humanities care and psychological intervention of moral education in colleges and universities;Fourthly,perfect network governance by making public opinion positive guide of university network;Fifthly,value family influence to cultivate the health psychological quality of children;Sixthly,advance social reform to create a good education atmosphere.
