Teachers play a vital role in the classroom,and teaching is the core work of teachers in the classroom,so teachers teaching belief greatly affects the teaching effect.At present,the results of the study on structure of teaching belief are different,and the study on the teaching belief of physical education teachers is very few.Starting at physical education,the study discusses the differences of structure and characteristics of teaching belief among the physical education teachers in junior high schools with in-depth interviews and questionnaire survey of them,so as to promote professional ability.The paper contains three continuity studies.The first study is on the structure of junior high school physical education teachers teaching belief,which contains in-depth interviews to 12 junior high school physical education teachers of different proficiency levels according to the principle of purposeful sampling and stratified sampling.And the structure of junior high school physical education teachers teaching belief is preliminarily obtained when the interview texts is analyzed by Nvivo11.0 software.The study 2 is verifying the structure of junior high school physical education teachers' teaching belief obtained in the first study.48 questionnaire items form the questionnaire on teaching belief of junior high school physical education teachers,which are compiled from the three-level code in study 1 and are evaluated by 5 expert teachers.70 paper questionnaires and 989 electronic questionnaires are issued,from which 920 valid questionnaires are obtained.The formal questionnaire containing 35 items and the teaching belief structure of junior high school physical education teachers with four factors are determined through item analysis,reliability test and confirmatory factor analysis of the questionnaire data.In study 3,analysis on the characteristics and differences of the questionnaire data are took by using spss20.0 software.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Through the interview text to refine the level of coding,eight secondary(the role of PE teachers,the quality of PE teachers,the function of physical education curriculum,the nature of the physical education curriculum status,teaching method the belief,the difference of students,student manages view,student learning).Eventually the junior middle school physical education teachers teaching belief structure is divided into four dimensions,namely on PE teachers' beliefs,beliefs about physical education curriculum,teaching methods about beliefs,beliefs about students.(2)The junior high school physical education teachers were higher faith is the "leader","strengthening physique","multidisciplinary cross curriculum","focus on students' research method","students' physical quality difference" faith,divided the larger is "to improve students' sports achievement is good teachers,sports can improve academic achievement,sports and Chinese,maths is as important as","innovative teaching method","student self-management" belief.Beliefs about PE teachers some entries in the gender,teaching experience and teaching school in the city/country exist significant differences.Part's beliefs about physical education curriculum entries exist significant differences in gender,teaching age,in the cities or the countryside there are no differences.About the teaching methods and students' beliefs significant differences on the teaching experience,there is no difference in gender and urban and rural areas.
