Investigation And Research On Scientific Research Methods For Master's Degree Thesis In Library And Information Science In My Country

The research methods of library and information science play an important role in the development and research of the discipline.The correct employment of the research methods has been an important driving force to promote the development of the discipline and played a prominent role in the process of scientific research.In the presented paper,the use of research methods in master's thesis of library and information science in China was investigated.The use of research methods in master's thesis(2012-2019)of library and information science of Nanjing University,Heilongjiang University and Xiangtan University were analyzed and studied by the methods of literature research,qualitative and quantitative research,questionnaire survey and content analysis.Moreover,general situation of the cultivation and education of master of Library and information science in China was investigated,the current situation and characteristics of the application of the research methods of master's thesis of library and information science in China were also analyzed.The current situation and existing problems of the application of research methods in master's thesis of library and information science in China were revealed.Three suggestions were accordingly put forward for reference,that is,strengthening methodological literacy,standardizing the use of research methods,and attaching importance to the construction of research methods curriculum.
