Children with intellectual disabilities are a group with significant limitations in intellectual function and adaptive behavior, and their social integration is an important topic that cannot be avoided. To stimulate the inner motivation of children with intellectual disabilities to integrate into the society by various means is not only caused by the realistic demand of "constructing support mode",but also by the demand of The Times of "running special education well".As the core and regulating mechanism of personality,self-concept is not only the cornerstone of individual social function and emotional development, but also the key to regulating individual mental health and improving individual life adaptation. However, there are few self-concept assessment tools specifically designed for children with intellectual disabilities, which seriously hinder self-concept research for intellectual disabilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to construct the self-concept structure model of children with mild intellectual disabilities and to develop the self-concept assessment tool for children with mild intellectual disabilities.Study on learning self concept theory research results at home and abroad, mild intellectual disabilities children,on the basis of the actual development situation, strictly follow the program of psychometrics and scale, construct the mild intellectual disabilities children’s self-concept structure model, compiled 68 self-concept scale for intellectual disabilities children,216 mild intellectual disabilities children(age 8 to 16)after the individual test,According to the results of factor analysis, the self-concept scale for children with intellectual disabilities was adjusted to 6 factors and 42 questions. The reliability and validity of the scale were tested in 215 children aged 8-16 with mild intellectual disabilities, and the differences in the demographic variables(age, sex and grade)of children with mild intellectual disabilities were compared. The results are as follows:(1)the self-concept structure of children with mild intellectual disabilities is composed of the physical self and the environmental self. The physical self includes three dimensions:physical appearance, physical activity and emotion. The environmental self includes three dimensions:family self, school self and social self.(2)In terms of the reliability of the 42-item scale, the internal consistency coefficient of each factor is between 0.700-0.811,and the internal consistency coefficient of the total scale is 0.863.In terms of the validity of the scale, the scale fully absorbs the theoretical and empirical basis, and the contents of the scale can reflect the actual situation of the subjects. The correlation between the four corresponding dimensions(0.513-0.607)of the scale and the validity questionnaire reached a significant level. The correlation between each dimension and the total score of the self-compiled scale reached a significant level, and the 6-factor CFA measurement model fitting was acceptable(TLI=0.819,CFI=0.833,SRMR=0.072,RMSEA=0.051),with good validity.(3)the self-concept of children with mild intellectual disabilities showed no significant difference in age,but significant difference in gender and grade.Girls scored slightly higher than boys in physical appearance and family self;Children with mild intellectual disabilities from grade 1 to grade 9 showed significant differences in physical appearance, emotional emotion, school self and social self. The conclusions are as follows:The self-concept structure model of children with mild intellectual disability is clear and stable, and the 6-factor 42-item self-concept scale of children with intellectual disability is reliable and effective, which can accurately measure the self-concept of children with mild intellectual disability.
