Informal reasoning ability is an important part of scientific reasoning ability,and it is also an important ability for students to solve social science problems.The evaluation of informal reasoning ability is one of the important standards for students' scientific literacy evaluation.Quantitative evaluation of students informal reasoning ability can define the level of students' informal reasoning ability,which is helpful to provide a valuable reference for students 'informal ability cultivation and is conducive to training students' high-level thinking ability and creativity.Therefore,the study of informal reasoning ability is of great significance.Compared with the research on students'informal reasoning ability abroad,there is a little lack of empirical research in domestic related fields.This research has carried out systematic empirical research on students'informal reasoning ability,aiming to enrich the evaluation research of domestic informal reasoning ability and provide a new idea and method for the research of informal reasoning ability.In this study,junior three students and sophomore and junior students were selected as the research objects.Among them,the junior three students have just been exposed to chemistry,and their chemistry thinking is gradually formed.It is necessary to conduct informal reasoning research on social science issues related to chemistry knowledge.On the basis of sorting out relevant research at home and abroad,the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and multidimensional Rasch measurement model were used to quantitatively study the students' informal reasoning ability.This research mainly includes the following parts:1.Introduction:Research background,research questions,research significance,research purpose,research methods and research routes.2.Research review:Defines the relevant concepts of informal reasoning,the evaluation of informal reasoning,and the influencing factors of informal reasoning.3.Level construction of informal reasoning ability:Based on the theoretical research on informal reasoning ability at home and abroad,this study constructed a horizontal framework of four dimensions of informal reasoning ability.4.Development of test tools:The overall design of this study and the basic principles and test basis of the multi-dimensional Rasch model are described.At the same time,according to the multi-dimensional Rasch model,the constructed scale is initially tested,and the scale is modified according to the results of the initial measurement,and a second small sample test is performed.Ensure the reliability and practicability of measurement tools.5.The study of students'informal reasoning ability:The reliability and validity of the test were analyzed using Winsteps software,including item fitting error analysis,unidimensional analysis and functional difference test.6.Conclusion and Enlightenment:Through research,it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the informal reasoning abilities of college students and junior third students.The three-dimensional students'four-dimensional informal reasoning abilities are all concentrated in level 2,and the ability development is unbalanced;the junior three students who are new to chemistry can initially carry out multi-dimensional informal reasoning on social science issues,but their informal reasoning ability is still low;in the dimension of evidence-based perspective,most students reason from a single perspective of science or economics;in the four dimensions of informal reasoning,students' decision-making modes are relatively close;under the situation that the problem guides the students,the students' re-inference is better;students' informal reasoning ability can be improved when guided by questions.For university and junior high school education,teachers should pay more attention to the connection between the classroom and society in the classroom,and they can pay attention to guide students to carry out informal reasoning on problems in many ways.
