In the field of international science education,scientific reasoning ability is a hot topic for researchers.How to promote the development of scientific thinking by improving scientific reasoning ability is also a research hot spot.However,our country's research about scientific reasoning started late.Research mainly focuses on summarizing related researches on scientific reasoning abroad,or theoretical discussions on scientific concepts and research significance of scientific reasoning,and measurement of scientific reasoning ability(most using Lawson Classroom Scientific Reasoning Test)also just stay in the generalized ability.How to develop the scientific reasoning ability in each scientific disciplines and how to measure and evaluate the scientific reasoning ability by scientific and effective way?These problems need to be solved.This study is based on physical learning.This research firstly construct a composition model of scientific reasoning ability and an evaluation model of scientific reasoning ability from a theoretical perspective.Then,based on the evaluation model and the "Basic Requirements for the Teaching of Shanghai Senior Secondary Physics Subject(Test Book)" was used to build an item pool,which is aimed to be suitable for Shanghai senior high school students.In order to test the reliability and validity of the item pool,we select questions randomly to forecast totally 48 students in the first grade of Shanghai A school.Combined with Rasch model and used Bond&FoxSteps software to analysis,according to the analysis results to modify the item pool.With a total of 126 students in the first grade of Shanghai B school,the item pool is measured again.Using the data collected in the measurement,through logistic regression analysis,we demonstrate the rationality of the composition model of the scientific reasoning ability.This study mainly draws the following conclusions:1.Scientific reasoning is included reasoning transaction,reasoning basis and reasoning tasks.Knowledge also impact on scientific reasoning.2.The item pool used in this research are able to measure students'scientific reasoning ability through the Rasch model calibrated.3.The development and the balance of the scientific reasoning ability.Based on that,we discuss on how to improve the scientific reasoning ability by physical teaching and learning.
