With the further deepening of curriculum reform,countries are attaching more and more importance to scientific literacy.It is particularly important to carry out global educational exchanges,especially the comparison of teaching materials.From the perspective of Chemistry core literacy,this paper makes a comparative analysis of "chemical reaction rate" in the Chinese edition and the British Edexcel AS Chemistry and Edexcel A2 Chemistry textbooks,and puts the research results into teaching practice.Finally through the practical effect analysis,draw a conclusion and make reflection.The thesis has the following five parts.In the first part,in the background of basic education reform and development of literacy education,through literature review to understand the research status of chemical core literacy and the comparison of domestic and foreign teaching materials,to determine the research ideas,research methods and theoretical basis of the paper.The second part is the comparison of Chinese and English teaching materials based on the core literacy of chemistry.Ac cording to the level division of the core accomplishment of chemistry subject in the curriculum standard,the analysis framework of this paper is constructed in combination with the content of chemical reaction rate.By comparing textbooks under the framework and analyzing the cultivation of chemical core literacy according to the content,it is found that British textbooks embody many core literacy elements and levels,with more content coverage,rich text content,diverse chart types,and more interdisciplinary content in knowledge design.However,the people's Education edition emphasizes the cultivation of students' experimental inquiry literacy.In the third part,based on the research results based on the comparison of core literacy textbooks and the high school chemistry curriculum standards,the teaching case design of chemical reaction rate is carried out.It is beneficial to stimulate students' ability of independent thinking to apply the contents of the two versions of textbooks into teaching practice that can better reflect the core quality of chemistry.The fourth part analyzes the practical effect of teaching design.Two parallel classes were selected for effect analysis,and questionnaires were conducted to understand students' feelings about the subject.By interviewing students and teachers,the results of the interviews and the scores of students in the experimental class and the control class were analyzed to obtain the practical effect of the teaching design based on the comparison of Chinese and English teaching materials under the core quality of chemistry.The fifth part compares and analyzes the elements and levels reflected in the five core qualities of pep and British teaching materials.Relevant contents in British teaching materials can be used for reference when using PEP teaching materials for teaching.In the analysis of teaching design practice effect based on textbook comparison,it is found that adding the content of British textbooks in limited class hours can better expand students' thinking.The research of this paper can provide data support for the comparative study of Chinese and foreign teaching materials and has certain reference value.
