Research On "Logarithmic Spiral" Social Relations

Social relations play an important role in the research of anthropology,ethnology and sociology,the characteristics of social relations are also the subject discussed consistently in many disciplines in recent years.This dissertation takes Wangbuzi village,Xiji county,Ningxia as an example to further analyze and summarize the characteristics of social relations in village society with the methods of in-depth interviews,participant observation and comparative analysis.With regard to research methods,the basic understanding and knowledge of the village is carried out on the basis of the body senses at the beginning of entering into the fieldwork point;first-hand information related to the topic are obtained by in-depth conversations with the interviewees;the process and characteristics of the establishment of social relations in villages are experienced personally through the fieldwork of "eating together,living together and working together".With regard to research content,this dissertation expounds the characteristics of social structure and social relations in village from three aspects:the kinship relationship among individuals,the inner relationship among families and the social relationship established through "things" in village.This dissertation combines"diversity-orderly" social structure characteristics of Chinese rural society and the relevant theories of domestic and foreign research on strong and weak social relations,refers to the deficiencies of cobweb model on social relationship characteristics and summarizes the typical "logarithmic spiral" characteristics of social relations in the village society.The process of exploring the characteristics of social relationships reflects from the side that the social structure and social relations of Chinese rural societies are undergoing constant changes with the development of modern society and the increasement of social mobility.Therefore,the typical"logarithmic spiral" characteristics of social relations in Chinese village society which is the conclusion of this dissertation,also shows the evolution trend of this dynamic social relations to some extent.
