The parent-child relationship is the first one to be established in people's life. The influence of parent-child relationship is accompanied by one's whole life.Marriage and love is one of the main problems faced by young people. It is the hope of every young person to have a high-quality intimate relationship.Among the influencing factors of intimate relationship quality,it is worth paying attention to the influence of the original family. This study is to determine the operational definition and items of parental presence through literature review and expert evaluation, and to determine the final parental presence scale through project analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Then this study investigated the demographic characteristics of the relationship between the level of parents' presence and the quality of intimacy, and explored the relationship between the level of parents' presence and the quality of intimacy. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Young parents have a higher level of incumbency. On the whole, the level of mother's presence is higher than that of father's.(2)There are significant differences in the parents presence in terms of gender, whether they are only children, urban and rural differences in the place of residence before the age of 18,economic conditions of families before the age of 18,marriage presence of young parents and young people living together before the age of 18.There are no significant differences with the age, nationality, education level, marriage and love presence and love period of young people.(3)Mother's presence and father's presence can predict the quality of intimacy in different degrees. On the whole, mother's physical presence and mother's psychological presence have the strongest predictive power to intimacy, followed by father's psychological presence.Mother's physical presence and father's psychological presence significantly predicted the satisfaction of intimate relationship among young people. For female youth, mother's presence predicted attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety, while mother's physical presence and father's psychological presence predicted relationship satisfaction;for male, mother's psychological presence predicted attachment avoidance, and mother's presence predicted relationship satisfaction. For unmarried young people who are in love, mother's psychological presence predicts their attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety, while mother's physical presence and father's psychological presence jointly predict their relationship satisfaction;for married young people, father's psychological presence predicts their attachment avoidance, and father's physical presence predicts their relationship satisfaction degree. Finally, the author puts forward that the emphasis of family social workers on the role transfer of fathers should be more to enable fathers to learn how to support their children psychologically and emotionally,to maintain emotional connection with their children, and to enable their children to feel their father's support and sense of security, rather than just to let fathers participate in their daily affairs.
