An Applied Research On The Internet Ideological And Political Education Rituals For Middle School Students

Ritual always plays an important role in human social life.Ritual education is one of the means of ideological and political education in schools.With the coming of information society,especially the development of mobile Internet digital technology,the combination of ideological and political education ritual with network has developed into a new form of ritual,such as "inheriting the spirit of heroes and striving to serve the motherland-online hero worship",This new form of ritual can be defined as a ritual event or activity with the purpose of ideological and political education and the content carried in the cyberspace.At present,government agencies,social organizations and schools are conducting ideological and political education through this way.The online ideological and political education ritual has characteristics of symbolism,collectivization and resonance of the offline ritual,and it has new characteristics as well.It creates a virtual ritual scenario,forms a specific atmosphere,and has the functions of building consensus,appealing to emotion,awakening memory,and regularizing behavior.In the context of the Internet society,it is a new development of ideological and political education ritual,which plays a positive role in the ideological and political education for teenagers.The online ideological and political education ritual is currently emerging.So how to play its role to improve its effective education among middle school students? This is the original intention of this study.Through questionnaire and other methodologies,we have learnt that there are some problems in the online ideological and political education ritual for middle school students,such as the low participation of middle school students,lack of active school organization activities,low degree of interactivity in the ritual process and lack of ritual evaluation and feedback.The causes include lack of motivation for organization participation,low awareness of the main body of the ritual,loss of the value of the theme,monotonous form of ritual design,and lack of guarantee of its mechanism.It is necessary to adhere to the principles of guidance,virtuality,symbolism,subjectivity,and interactivity in terms of issues existing in the application of online ideological and political education rituals among middle school students.Starting from several aspects,such as raising awareness and attraction of the online ideological and political education ritual,jointly building it up at multiple levels,strengthening the interaction in the process,and paying attention to the feedback and supervision of it,we need to construct online ideological and political education ritual that meets the needs of middle school students’ moral education,respects the law of their physical and mental development,and conforms to the characteristics of their interests.
