With the launch and implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative in recent years,exchanges and cooperation between China and Cambodia have increased,and more and more Cambodians have chosen to learn Chinese.As the most important place for Cambodian primary school students,Chinese School has undertaken the most important teaching tasks.Most students in Chinese schools accept systematical Chinese learning,and the starting point of systematical learning must be phonetics.In the one-year teaching practice in Zhong Hua Chinese School of Cambodia,the author found that the students' phonetic problems are mainly concentrated in complex vowels.The fourth grade students I taught have been studying complex vowels for more than three years,but they have not reached the level they should have.The difficulty of recognizing and reading makes the process of learning Chinese very slow,and it is urgent to solve the problem.Existing studies on complex vowels do not target Cambodian students,most of the teaching schemes are relatively abstract,difficult to implement,and do not fit the characteristics of Cambodian students.Therefore,I would like to use complex vowels as a research topic,based on the theory of error analysis,combined with my classroom observation and practice,in order to find common types of errors in complex vowels for Cambodian young students,analyze the causes of and target the reasons,give an easy-to-implement,targeted instructional design,and put forward several practical teaching countermeasures,hoping to provide a reference for the complex vowels teaching of new teachers in Cambodia.This paper is divided into four parts.The introduction part mainly introduces the reason for choosing the topic,the significance,the research method,the innovation and so on.In addition,In the introduction part,the research status of error analysis is summarized.The first chapter elaborates the definition and importance of Chinese complex vowels,then mainly introduces the current status of ontological research and applied research.Chapter two starts with the social environment and the school environment,mainly introduces the teaching environment of complex rhyme in Wuge Bili Chinese School,and investigates the teaching status of complex vowels from both teachers and students.The main survey methods are interviews with local Chinese teachers and questionnaire surveys and pronunciation reading tests ofcomplex vowels for 20 students in this Chinese school.The third chapter uses the theory oferror analysis in the theory of second language acquisition as the guiding ideology.The method of combining data and theory is used to analyze the errors of the finals of the junior Chinese students at the Chinese school in Cambodia,try to analysis analyzes the types and causes of errors.The fourth chapter mainly proposes practical teaching strategies based on the causes of errors and the total physical response method suitable for students.
