As an important mathematical thought,the combination of numbers and shapes should be widely used in primary school's mathematics teaching.The reasons are as follows.First of all,the new curriculum standard requires the application of the thought of combination of numbers and shapes in mathematics teaching.Secondly,students in their cognitive development stage need to apply the thought in mathematics teaching.Finally,with the progress of science and technology,the teaching method of "blackboard plus chalk" is gradually replaced by modern teaching methods such as computer multimedia.The combination of numbers and shapes can be applied in the round in mathematics teaching on the basis of modern teaching methods.However,in practice,the application of the combination of numbers and shapes in primary school 's mathematics teaching is not optimistic.In view of this,the thesis takes the problems and countermeasures in the application of the thought of combination of numbers and shapes in primary school's mathematics teaching as the topic,mainly using the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and observation.First of all,the author analyzes the educational value of the thought,the problems in the application of the thought in mathematics teaching,the causes of existing problems and the countermeasures of the problems by literature research in the thesis,so as to grasp the research focus and direction.And then,the author investigates the mathematics teachers of Grade 1-3 in a district of Xinxiang City by questionnaire to master the situation and the problems of the application of the thought in primary school's mathematics teaching in the thesis.According to the result of questionnaire,the author finds that the application of the thought neglects the main position of students,doesn't covers all contents and courses and lacks of flexibility and systematization.The main reasons for these problems are as follows: some teachers only implement the goals of knowledge and skills,but ignore other goals;some teachers have not fully understood the meaning and role of the thought;some teachers lack experience and ability to apply the thought.Therefore,the author puts forward some strategies to solve the problems,such as the implementation of the three-dimensional teaching objectives,the improvement of teachers' teaching ability with the thought in professional education and the enhancement of the teaching reflection of the application of the thought.
