This study aims to learn about the development path of students' thoughts in the framework of learning progression,and make targeted teaching design of the core concept of magnetic field based on learning progression,so as to enable students to better grasp the core concepts of magnetic field in senior high school and to successfully upgrade from low learning progression level to high learning progression.This study mainly contains the following contents: 1.It will find out a learning progression framework of the core concept of magnetic field that is suitable for this research object through literature review;2.It will design six teaching designs of the core concept of magnetic field based on learning progression resulting from the learning progression framework which combining with the learning progression-based teaching design model of the concept of science;3.The teaching designs carried out a practice research at Dayao No.1 High School,Dayao County,Chuxiong,Yunnan Province and tested the practical effects of the teaching design of the core concept of magnetic field based on learning progression.This study reached the following conclusions:1.the teaching design for the core concept of magnetic field based on learning progression can enable students to better master the core concept of magnetic field;2.it can help students promote the learning progression level of the core concept of magnetic field more effectively;3.this study is of practical significance for front-line teaching.
