Based on the previous studies about the classification of the time-measure complement sentence as well as the time-measure complement sentence in Chinese textbooks and Chinese teaching syllabus,this article divides Chinses time-measure complement into five subsidiary sentence structures.And this study calculates the frequency and accuracy rate of time-measure complement sentences from Chinese interlanguage corpus of Thai students in primary and intermediate level to carry out error analysis according to grades and sentence structure.Combined with the questionnaire,it is found that the errors of the time-measure complement of primary and intermediate Thai students mainly focus on the following aspects:“positional errors between time-measure complements and verbs”,“the omission of verbs”,“the omission and sequential error of?Le1?”,“the omission of?Le2?”,“the mix of?Le2?and?Guo?”and“positional error between time-measure complement and object”.In order to explore the reason for the errors about Chinese time-measure complement that Thai students have made,a corpus of Chinese native speakers and a parallel corpus of Thai native speakers were built and sentence patterns and quantity of time-measure complements of each corpus was counted,and the frequencyof each sentence patternwas calculated.The findings are that the use of frequency of each sentence pattern of Chinese and Thai time-measure complement is different,and the two most frequently used sentences by Chinese native speakers are:P1:S+V(Le1)+T+(Le2)and P3:S+V while the corresponding part for Thai native speakers is P1:S+V(Le1)+T+(Le2)?P2:S+V+(Le1)+O+T+(Le2).Then,a comparative analysis is conducted in terms of five aspects ranging from constituents,syntactic functions,expression forms,semantics,pragmatics.It is found that the main difference about time-measure complement between Chinese native speakers and Thai native speakers lies in the constituents of“Zai”plus position nouns in a sentence,the sequence of prepositional phrase and center led by“Zai”,word order of verb-object phrases and time measure complement,the position and meaning of“Le”in a sentence,the syntactic structure expressing“past experience”,separable phrasal verb and verb-copying sentence.Based on the above differences,this article summarizes the typological characteristics of Chinese time-measure complement and illustrates the relation between characteristics of typology in Chinese time-measure complement and errors with labeling theory.Finally,this article provides some responsive teaching strategy according to the errors of time-measurecomplement made by Thai students together with the arrangement of time-measurecomplement sentences in Chinese textbooks mainly used by Confucius Institutes in Thailand.
