In people’s production life,reading is one of the main ways to obtain information and understand the world.In the context of the new era,the rapid development of information technology has made people not only proficient in Chinese reading,but also put forward higher requirements for comprehensive reading of information such as characters,symbols,and charts.Therefore,it is of great significance to study mathematical reading.The current research on mathematical reading mainly includes two aspects,one is to discuss the current teaching status of mathematics reading from the perspective of education and teaching,the methods and strategies of mathematical reading,and the cultivation of mathematical reading ability;the other is to discuss the process of mathematical reading from the perspective of psychology Psychological mechanism,influencing factors of mathematical reading,etc.Research shows that mathematical reading is affected by many factors,of which metacognition is a very important factor.However,in actual mathematics reading,the specific training and strategies related to metacognition have not been thoroughly studied.As a training method that can guide students’ thinking direction and monitor their own cognitive structure,heuristic prompts are closely related to the psychological process of mathematical reading.Therefore,it is necessary to research the influence of heuristic prompts on mathematical reading.The research is mainly divided into two parts: current situation investigation and experimental research.First of all,based on combing the existing literature,analyze and compile a questionnaire on the status of the application of heuristic prompts(student volume)and a questionnaire on the teaching status of heuristic prompts(teacher volume).Combined with interviews,a large-scale survey of students and teachers in a school in Linfen area was conducted to understand the current status of the application of heuristic prompts in actual teaching,so as to find existing problems and provide a basis for subsequent experimental research.Secondly,taking84 junior and second grade students in the school as experimental objects,using the self-made "Mathematics Reading Test Paper" and corresponding heuristic prompts,using SPSS22.0 software to analyze the differences in students’ mathematical reading scores and discuss the influence of heuristic hints on students’ math reading.Finally,suggestions are made on how to use heuristic prompts in mathematics teaching to improve students’ mathematical reading level.The conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)In terms of students ’application of heuristic prompts,the overall level of students’ application of prompts is not high,and there is still much room for improvement;of which,in the "solving question stage" dimension,the second grade and the first and third grades in senior middle school there are significant differences between grades.The second grade are significantly lower than the first and third grades.In the dimension of "reflection stage",students in the first and third grades are better than the third grades in senior middle school.There is no significant difference between male and female students in the use inspiring hints.(2)In the teaching of teachers using heuristic prompts,most teachers fully affirm the role of heuristic teaching in teaching;but there are still many teachers who lack the awareness of using heuristic prompts;male there is no significant difference in the use of heuristic prompts by female teachers.(3)The use of heuristic prompts can significantly improve students’ math reading performance and has a significant impact on math reading.(4)Students of different genders have consistent reading performances of math readings with heuristic hints,which means that there is no significant difference between heuristic hints for male and female students.(5)Heuristic prompts have different effects on the mathematics reading performance of students of different academic levels.Among them,it is useful for excellent and middle students,especially for middle students.(6)In the experimental class and the control class,a pairwise comparison of the three dimensions of mathematics reading and the different academic levels of the students can be drawn: in the dimensions of language translation and comprehensive understanding,heuristic prompts are more effective for excellent and middle students,can effectively improve math reading performance,but have no significant impact on students with learning difficulties;in the dimension of character encoding,heuristic prompts have a significant effect on excellent students,middle students and students with learning difficulties,has a significant impact on mathematical reading.
