The formation and construction of mathematical knowledge system is closely related to reasoning,which is one of the essential ideas on which mathematics subject depends.At present,reasoning ability is becoming one of the standards of national selection of talents.It is said that reasoning plays an important role in mathematics and social life,so it is urgent to cultivate the ability of mathematical reasoning.The author makes an investigation on the current situation of junior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability,and gives training strategies from different perspectives based on the results of the survey.The first chapter of this thesis mainly expounds the research background,significance,contents and methods.The author discusses the research background from the needs of mathematics discipline,mathematics education and social development,and discusses the research significance from the two aspects of theory and practice.Based on that,the author determines the five research problems of this thesis,which are the overall situation of junior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability,differences in different dimensions,gender differences,training status and training strategies.The research methods of this thesis are literature analysis,test,questionnaire and interview.The second chapter is the theoretical analysis of junior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability.Firstly,the author defines the related concepts of mathematical reasoning ability;secondly,the author sorts out and analyzes the relevant literature on mathematical reasoning ability at home and abroad,summarizes five research status,and summarizes the limitations of current research,so as to provide improvement direction for investigation and research;finally,on the basis of literature analysis,the author summarizes the theoretical basis of mathematical reasoning ability,such as the internal structure,generation characteristics and so on,to provide evaluation framework for the follow-up research.The third chapter is the design and implementation of the investigation.Firstly,the author determines the purpose of this thesis,and then selects the survey object;secondly,based on the previous theoretical analysis,the author designs the test paper,questionnaire,semi-structured interview table and other survey tools;finally,the author carries out the investigation.The fourth chapter includes the survey results and analysis.The conclusions are as follows:(1)On the whole,the mathematical reasoning ability of junior high school students is at the medium level or above,and the survey results are optimistic.From different types of dimensions,students' reasonable reasoning ability is obviously higher than their deductive reasoning ability,and there is a significant difference between them.In terms of different content dimensions,students perform best in probability,followed by algebra and geometry.From the perspective of gender,first of all,the overall performance of female students is slightly better than that of male students,but there is no significant difference in mathematical reasoning ability between male and female students.Secondly,girls' reasonable reasoning ability is slightly better than boys',while boys' deductive reasoning ability is slightly better than girls',but there are no significant differences.Finally,girls perform slightly better than boys in geometry and probability,and boys perform slightly better than girls in algebra,but there are no significant differences.(2)Students' cognitive level related to mathematical reasoning is not high,but the vast majority of students can realize the importance of mathematical reasoning ability and its transfer,and show a strong interest in it.(3)Although teachers' understanding of mathematical reasoning is not comprehensive and thorough enough,they all affirm the necessity of cultivating students' mathematical reasoning ability and constantly explore effective teaching strategies.The fifth chapter is the training strategy of junior high school students' mathematical reasoning ability.From the perspective of teachers: Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of related concepts,and actively explore the teaching methods to cultivate students' mathematical reasoning ability;Create a mathematical situation to lay a good foundation for reasoning;Explore the cultivation of students mathematical reasoning ability of the material constantly in the textbook;Cultivate students' mathematical reasoning ability accordingly.From the perspective of students: Strengthen the understanding of information related to mathematical reasoning;Develop good math study habits;Establish a good mental state.From the perspective of parents: Pay attention to hot issues in education and update educational concepts in time;Take the initiative to communicate with the school and coordinate with each other.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and reflection.This chapter is a summary of the previous work,and provides improvement direction for the follow-up investigation.
