In the process of urbanization in our country,a new type of community,"village-to-residential community" emerged, which is the product of collective demolition and resettlement of farmers in this process. The elderly in the "village-to-residential community" have moved from rural communities to modernized communities, and their production and lifestyles have undergone tremendous changes. These changes not only affect their material life, but also their spiritual life.Under the dual pressure of accelerating urbanization and the increasingly serious ageing society, the elderly groups in the village-to-residential community have outstanding spiritual comfort needs, but they have not received corresponding attention and satisfaction.Based on this, under the guidance of ecosystem theory, this study uses qualitative research methods, taking T community in Zhengzhou City,Henan Province as an example,to explore the path of social work intervening in the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly in the village relocation, which has certain theoretical significance and practice significance. This study believes that, according to the theory of ecosystem, there are three levels of spiritual comfort needs for the elderly in the"village-to-residential community":self-esteem needs, social interaction needs, and community attachment needs. These spiritual comfort needs require intervention from three different levels:the individual, the family and the group, the community.Based on the preliminary needs assessment, the social workers recruited the elderly in the T community and formed a "village-to-residential community" spiritual comfort group for the elderly. The activities of the group were divided into six times, and these activities were aimed at the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly at different levels. At the individual level, through the "My activity,I call the shots"activity, let the elderly talk about their hobbies, plan an activity center for the elderly, and help the elderly to accept themselves;the "My work everyone praises" activity, make the elderly learn to make micro-landscape ecological bottles to affirm their learning ability and enhance their sense of self-worth.At the family and group level, through the "Young Couples and Old Friends" activity,we will review the past of mutual support with the elderly couples when they were young, and rediscover and promote their the intimate relationship;through the"Interest Groups to find friends" activity,we will build interest groups platform, help them find peer groups with similar interests and fulfill their social interaction needs. At the community level, the "I will decorate my'home"' activity, could make them review their rural memories with the group members, and use the existing materials in the home to design and decorate the community elderly activity center to stimulate the their sense of community participation; In the "My Community I Participate" activity, social workers helped group members set up a "common living room"and consolidate their gain, which not only enriches the daily lives of the elderly, but enhances the cohesion of the elderly and their sense of belonging to the community.Studies have shown that the application of ecosystem theory has opened up a new theoretical and practical path for social work to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly in the village-relocation community, and can systematically meet the needs of the elderly in the village-relocation community in terms of spiritual care.
