| The elderly living alone are faced with loneliness,helplessness and mental health problems,while the spiritual comfort mutual support group,as a social work intervention,aims to meet the spiritual needs of the elderly living alone and improve their quality of life and happiness by providing emotional support,social support and cognitive support.This paper aims to explore the practical operation of the spiritual comfort and mutual support group for the elderly living alone,and study its feasibility,implementation strategies and effects,in order to provide reference for the practice of social workers.This paper uses various research methods,including literature studies,questionnaire surveys,and interviews.First,through the literature research,the relevant theories,the domestic and foreign research status and the practical experience of the elderly living alone were summarized and analyzed.Secondly,a questionnaire was designed and implemented to investigate the needs and expectations of spiritual comfort support groups for seniors living alone,as well as their evaluations and opinions on existing services.In addition,interviews were conducted with older people living alone and support group members to understand their experiences,feelings and suggestions,as well as the role and impact of support groups in their lives.In the process of research,the needs analysis of the spiritual comfort support group of the elderly living alone was first conducted to understand the spiritual needs and comfort ways of the elderly living alone.Then,a mutual aid group program was designed suitable for the characteristics and needs of the elderly living alone,including the recruitment and screening of group members,and the design and arrangement of activities.Then,a series of group activities were carried out,such as emotional communication,joint participation in interest and hobby activities,to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly living alone through interaction and support.During the activity,it was recorded and observed,and the program was timely adjusted and improved to meet the needs and expectations of the elderly living alone.The results show that the spiritual comfort mutual support group has achieved some results in meeting the emotional,social and cognitive needs of the elderly living alone.Through the participation of group activities,the elderly who live alone get emotional support and comfort,establish new social relationships and interpersonal networks,and improve their self-awareness and self-esteem.At the same time,the mutual aid group also promotes the mutual support and help between the elderly living alone,and enhances their sense of social integration and belonging.However,the study also found some problems and challenges,such as some difficulties and deficiencies in the recruitment and maintenance of small group members,the diversity and flexibility of activities,and the integration and utilization of resources.To sum up,as the practical means of social work,is of great significance and value.Through the in-depth study and analysis of the practice of the spiritual comfort mutual aid group for the elderly living alone,this paper puts forward some feasible implementation strategies.For example,finding suitable intervention methods,meeting the real needs of service objects,and conducting effective resource links.However,there are some limitations,such as the limitations of the sample and the limitations of the study duration,which need to be improved and extended in future studies. |
