Research objective: In this paper,through the comparison of senior high school students' sports and academic performance,verify that sports and academic performance have a certain correlation,prove the importance of sports and sports learning.Research method: This study takes Hefei No.6 senior high school as an example,mainly through the method of investigation and mathematical statistics,investigates the results of three section academic examinations of 320 students in 32 classes of grade two in Hefei No.6 senior high school before and after the sports performance of 5 students,and carries out the data comparison and statistical analysis of sports performance and academic performance.Research results:(1)Boy students: The results of three section academic examinations of boys with good physical education scores were compared with the average scores of classes.the students' academic scores in section 1 and section 3(525.56±58.9,530.29±61.84)was higher than the average score of the class,and the difference was significant(P < 0.05),This shows that boys with good sports performance have good academic performance;The academic score of the top five boys in science class in the three section examinations(529.16±55.77,530.08±59.25,538.63±54.37)was higher than the average score of the class,and there is a significant difference(P < 0.05),which shows that the science boys with good physical performance have better academic performance.Girl students: The results of three section academic examinations of girls with good physical education scores were compared with the average scores of classes.the students' academic scores in three sections(527.19±46.63,532.11±51.58,533.38±48.51)was higher than the average score of the class,and the difference was significant(P < 0.05),This shows that girls with good sports performance have good academic performance;The academic scores of the top five girls in science class in the three section examinations(525.66±50.11,532.53±54.7,536.31±52.38)was higher than the average score of the class,and there is a significant difference(P < 0.05),which shows that the science girls with good physical performance have better academic performance.(2)The results of the top five students were significantly higher than those of the last five students(P < 0.05);Boy students: By comparing the results of the three section examinations of the boys with good physical performance with those of the boys with poor physical performance,the results showed that the academic score of the boys with good physical performance in the three section examinations(525.56±58.9,523.98±69.72,530.29±61.84)was higher than that in Physical Education(479.93±68.44,471.68±74.57,479.43±73.26)with significant difference(P <0.05),This shows that boys with good sports performance have better academic performance than boys with poor sports performance;The results show that the academic scores of the boys with good physical performance in science class(529.16±55.77,530.08±59.25,538.63±54.37)was higher than those of the boys with poor physical performance(4481±70.89,472.7±75.34,481.64±76.79)in the three section tests,and there is a significant difference(P < 0.05),The academic score of the boys with good Physical Education scores in liberal arts class(514.74±67.03,506.45±93.07,505.29±75.59)was higher than that of the boys with poor Physical Education scores in the three section examinations(476.75±61.25,468.63±73.06,472.79±61.86),and the difference was significant(P < 0.05),It shows that the boys with good sports performance in liberal arts and science have better academic performance than those with poor sports performance;Girl students: By comparing the results of the three section examinations of the girls with good physical performance with those of the girls with poor physical performance,the results showed that the academic score of the girls with good physical performance in the three section examinations(527.19±46.63,532.11±51.58,533.38±48.51)was higher than that in Physical Education(477.21±69.03,472.43±72.92,476.18±71.89)with significant difference(P < 0.05),This shows that girls with good sports performance have better academic performance than girls with poor sports performance;The results show that the academic scores of the girls with good physical performance in science class(525.66±50.11,532.53±54.7,536.31±52.38)was higher than those of the girls with poor physical performance(474.98±72.08,472.76±74.05,478.91±74.67)in the three section tests,and there is a significant difference(P < 0.05),The academic score of the girls with good Physical Education scores in liberal arts class(531.8±34.26,530.85±41.52,533.38±48.51)was higher than that of the girls with poor Physical Education scores in the three section examinations(483.91±59.26,471.44±70.33,467.96±62.95),and the difference was significant(P < 0.05),It shows that the girls with good sports performance in liberal arts and science have better academic performance than those with poor sports performance.Research conclusion:(1)The results of physical education of high school students are better than that of ordinary students;Both boys and girls come to this conclusion;Similarly,the male and female students who do well in physical education are better than the general students in academic achievement.(2)Senior high school students with excellent sports performance have better academic performance than those with poor sports performance;There is no gender difference,and there is no difference in Liberal arts and Sciences.However,senior high school students with poor sports performance do not necessarily have poor academic performance.(3)There is a high correlation between high school students' sports performance and academic performance,but there is a difference in regard to their own advantage in sports.
