With the rapid development of China’s national strength,traditional culture has attracted more and more attention in China.Classical Chinese,as one of the important carriers of Chinese excellent traditional culture,is the origin and root of Chinese civilization.Primary school period is the best period for students to learn classical Chinese,and also the best period for students to cultivate their sense of classical Chinese.It plays a very important role in students’ cultural attainment,correct outlook on life and values to be influenced by traditional culture since primary school.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the present situation of classical Chinese teaching in middle and high grades in primary schools.At present,the teaching of classical Chinese in middle and high grades in primary schools is a great difficulty for Chinese teachers in primary schools.Therefore,how to construct the teaching of classical Chinese in the middle and high grades of primary schools as a whole is a difficult problem that needs to be solved.By referring to relevant literature,an investigation plan was established.This study conducted a questionnaire survey among 140 Chinese teachers in primary schools in Shenyang,and 10 Chinese teachers and 10 students in three primary schools were selected for interview.Through quantitative and qualitative analysis of the current teaching status of classical Chinese in middle and high grades in primary schools.On the basis of understanding the present situation,this paper analyzes the causes of classical Chinese from three aspects:classical Chinese itself,teachers and schools,and finds out the countermeasures to improve the teaching of classical Chinese in middle and high grades in primary schools so as to help primary school Chinese teachers improve the teaching quality of classical Chinese.Through the investigation,the author found that the current problems in the teaching of classical Chinese in middle and high grades of primary schools mainly focus on four aspects:rigid design of teaching objectives,narrow selection of teaching content,rigid teaching methods,and monotonous teaching evaluation.At the same time,the author also uses the method of classroom observation to record in detail the real situation of classical Chinese teaching in middle and high grades of primary schools.The author analyzes the present situation of classical Chinese teaching in middle and high grades in primary schools,and finds out the reasons mainly include three aspects: first,teachers’ insufficient analysis of students’ learning level;second,teachers’ lack of classical Chinese teaching design and implementation ability;Third,the school is insufficient to the new teaching material training.The author mainly focuses on: shorten the distance between classical Chinese and students,improve teachers classical Chinese teaching design and implementation ability,enhance teachers classical Chinese literacy,through these three aspects to improve the current teaching status of middle and high grade classical Chinese in primary schools.
