"Six arts" in Chinese ancient education and the ancient Greek "seven arts" are a representative of the branch course,for the modern education of primary and secondary schools,students accept a subjectbased teaching for a long time,the socialist system brought about by the knowledge of the course system "lacerate" more serious,how to improve the ability of students in the process of education has become the important topic of education reform.As a highly comprehensive course,Comprehensive Practical Activities has higher requirements on students' ability.It emphasizes that students should comprehensively use the knowledge of various disciplines,recognize,analyze and solve practical problems,improve their comprehensive quality,and focus on developing their core qualities,especially their sense of social responsibility,innovative spirit and practical ability.In order to adapt to the rapid development of social life,professional world and the needs of individual independent development,to meet the challenges of the information age and knowledge society.On the other hand,STEM education concept plays an important role in improving students' ability,but how to put STEM education concept into practice in primary and secondary school education in China is a major problem at present.Finally,there are many problems in the course of "comprehensive practical activities" in cultivating students' ability.Based on these causes,the author carried out the following research:First,literature review.By sorted out the existing literature on integrated practice activities and STEM concepts,this paper analyzed the current situation and related contents of the research on STEM concepts and integrated practice activities curriculum,thus provideds a solid foundation for the development and implementation of this research.The second is to put forward the cultivation strategy of problem solving ability.Based on the theory of constructivism,the theory of learning by doing,the theory of discovery learning and the model of STEM system network,the author put forward the teaching activity design process of junior high school integrated practical activity course based on STEM concept: introduction,design analysis,implementation and production,exchange and evaluation of new lesson;And the design principles of integrated practice activities based on STEM concepts: scientific principle,open principle,practical principle,activity serialization principle,multiple evaluation principle;At the same time,it also put forward the methods to cultivate the problem solving ability of junior high school students: In the process of thinking is developing the students' ability of problem solving,advocating discovery learning,guide students to develop their ability of problem solving in actively explore,in the process of hands-on development student's problem solving ability,the use of migration,promote the formation of the problem solving ability,pay attention to the reflection after problem solving,to form the general strategy of problem solving.Thirdly,I designed and implemented the action research of junior high school comprehensive practice activities based on STEM concepts.Firstly,according to the learning needs of the research object,the learning content is selected for teaching design,and the method of cultivating the problem solving ability of junior high school students is integrated into it.Finally,the action research is carried out according to the teaching design.Finally,it analyzed the improvement of students' problemsolving ability and the classroom effect and draws a conclusion.Before and after the implementation of this action research,pre-test and post-test of the problem solving ability questionnaire were conducted for the studied students.After the end of the course,the data were contrastively analyzed.Then through the form of questionnaire to the design of this teaching activity,implementation,problem-solving ability and other subject knowledge aspects of the investigation,analysis of students' satisfaction with this course,finally draw a conclusion.The research conclusions of this study are as follows: after the teaching activities based on the comprehensive practice of STEM concepts,the problem solving ability of the research subjects has been improved to varying degrees,which indicated that the cultivation strategies proposed by the author are effective.At the same time,the study subjects were satisfied with and agreed with the teaching methods and effects of the integrated practical activity course integrated with STEM concepts.
