As one of the basic mathematical abilities,spatial imagination is worth our attention.As one of them,the ability of spatial imagination deserves our sufficient attention.Although the study of solid geometry of mathematics has always emphasized the cultivation of students' spatial imagination ability,the level of students' spatial imagination ability is still weak.The ability of spatial imagination has not been effectively cultivated,and there are obstacles for students to learn solid geometry.Moreover,for high school students,spatial imagination ability plays an important role in learning science courses.Based on this,the author analyzes the application advantages of 3D modeling software in high school solid geometry teaching,constructs application strategies,designs teaching activities,and puts them into practice,so as to explore the effectiveness of 3D modeling to assist high school solid geometry teaching to improve students' spatial imagination ability.The specific research process and results are as follows.In the part of theoretical research,the author defines the core concept of the research,sorts out the literature related to the research topic,and illustrates the feasibility of the research.The three levels of spatial imagination are defined,namely spatial conception,the establishment of geometric representation and the operation of geometric representation.On this basis,the overall level of students' spatial imagination ability is investigated through questionnaire and spatial imagination ability test paper,and the obtained survey results are analyzed,which is expected to provide a basis for the follow-up research.In the part of application design,the author combines the content of cultivating spatial imagination ability in high school solid geometry teaching,starts from the characteristics of solid geometry knowledge,and gives full play to the advantages of 3D modeling software in high school solid geometry teaching.And under the guidance of appropriate instructional design theory,the author designed a high school solid geometry teaching case based on 3D modeling software.In the part of application practice,with the help of action research,3D modeling and high school solid geometry teaching content are combined to cultivate and improve students' spatial imagination ability.In the process of practice,the author collected and analyzed data such as interviews with teachers and students,homework analysis,observation and reflection,so as to provide a basis for improving teaching design and optimizing the practice process.After the practice is completed,the author analyzes the results of questionnaire and test paper,and discusses the effectiveness of 3D modeling software applied in high school solid geometry teaching to improve students' spatial imagination ability.On this basis,the author draws a conclusion and reflects on the deficiencies.
