One of three basic mathematical ability is spatial imagination ability.In mathematics spatial imagination ability always occupies important position.But the number of research on spatial imagination ability can’t reflect the importance of spatial imagination ability.According to the research,The number of the theoretical analysis and the empirical research on spatial imagination ability is few,Recently the number increases. Among these research,the number of research combined quantitative analysis of spatial imagination ability with qualitative analysis of spatial imagination ability is fewer.So the author starts to study from investigation of senior students.Through the analysis of the data,the author will understand present situation,and combined with the results of interviews of mathematical teachers,the author will understand the teaching situation.Then the author will understand factors of affecting spatial imagination ability of students.At last the author will give advice to teachers through the comprehensive analysis.In particular,firstly the author analyzes the concept and composition of spatial imagination ability and arranges teaching requirements.Secondly the author determines four standard of assessing spatial imagination ability of students,then the author prepares test paper to invest students.Afterword the author analyzes the date through using excel and spss17.0.According to the results,the author interviews teachers,then the author summarizes two external factors of affecting spatial imagination ability of students.Finally the author give four advice to teachers:first,pay attention to the basic teaching,through the gradual build system;second,contact between old and new knowledge, promote student migration by analogy method;Third,encourage making model, through hands-on access to direct experience;Forth,exert influence, raise the student good habits.
