Experiment is the foundation of chemistry.Experimental teaching occupies a decisive position in chemistry teaching.Whether the experimental teaching is carried out will directly affect the quality of chemistry teaching.Chemistry experiment teaching breaks through the traditional theoretical teaching model.By showing the wonderful changes of the experimental reaction,students' curiosity can be effectively aroused and their curiosity can be cultivated.While learning the theoretical knowledge of chemistry,students exercise their hands-on ability and enhance their scientific thinking ability,which is of great significance to the cultivation of students' scientific literacy.Although chemistry experiment teaching is very important in chemistry education,under the influence of score orientation and experimental conditions in various regions,the effect of chemistry experiment teaching is not ideal,and the experiment has not played its due role in promoting chemistry teaching.There are currently three private high schools in Pingtan,all of which are provincial third-level schools.At present,the number of high school students is almost the same as the number of public high school students,but the overall quality of students is relatively low.Compared with public schools,private middle school teachers are facing greater pressure for further education and higher difficulty in teaching.Therefore,understanding the development of chemistry experiment teaching in private middle schools and proposing feasible teaching strategies for the problems in chemistry experiment teaching are very important for improving the quality of teaching and cultivating students' academic qualities.This research focuses on the front-line teachers and students of private high schools in Pingtan.Investigate the current situation of chemistry experiment teaching in three private schools through questionnaires and interviews.Learn about teachers 'understanding of chemistry experiment teaching,students' understanding of chemistry experiments,laboratory conditions and management,students 'experimental habits and evaluation methods of students' experimental abilities,etc.By analyzing the problems existing in experimental teaching.From the perspectives of improving experiment form,experiment method and experiment evaluation,strategies for improving the current status of chemistry experiment teaching are proposed,and five teaching case studies are carried out based on the strategies.Through the analysis of survey data,it is found that the following problems exist in experimental teaching.1.The implementation of experimental teaching mainly uses demonstration experiments and the use of multimedia technology.Most of the demonstration experiments are based on verification experiments,and the experiments are not exploratory and interesting.2.Most students are very interested in chemistry experiments and expect to be able to experiment on their own.However,due to the pressure of college entrance examinations and teaching tasks,there are fewer student experiments and they ignore the real needs of students.The laboratory utilization rate is not high,resulting in waste of resources.3.In the experimental teaching of students,they do not pay attention to the cultivation of students' good experimental habits and rigorous scientific attitudes,and they do not give full play to the role of experimental teaching.4.The assessment of students 'chemistry experiment ability is mainly based on written test results,and the evaluation form and subject are single,and there is a lack of comprehensive evaluation of students' experimental level.Aiming at the problems in experimental teaching,the following improvement strategies are proposed.1.Pay attention to the needs of students,establish interest groups for extracurricular activities in chemistry,adjust laboratory management methods,improve the opening rate of the laboratory,and put forward suggestions for the open utilization of the laboratory.2.Pay attention to the feedback of experimental teaching evaluation and investigate students' experimental literacy from multiple angles and levels.In the teaching practice,the "exploration of the nature of sulfur dioxide" is used as an example to evaluate the experimental ability of students using a variety of evaluation methods,and to understand students' views on the classroom and evaluation methods through interviews.3.Pay attention to the cultivation of students' good experiment habits and rigorous scientific attitude,reasonably use virtual experiment technology to assist chemistry experiment teaching,help students carry out in-depth experiment training,and improve experiment teaching effect.In the practical teaching,taking the experiment of "preparation of ferrous hydroxide" as an example,a virtual experiment was carried out to assist students in the effect of experiment preview.4.Improve the professional qualities of chemistry teachers,optimize the demonstration experiment,improve the teaching effect of the demonstration experiment,enhance the exploration and interest of the experiment,and promote the concept of green chemistry.Take the demonstration experiment of "copper-zinc primary battery","catalytic oxidation of ethanol" and "reaction of copper and nitric acid" in the textbook as an example to improve the experiment.
