Mathematical Induction is not only an important mathematical argumentation method,but also an important elective course in high school.In high school,in terms of its textbook compilation and teachers' teaching design,it explains its logical basis by way of using students' life experience,such as playing domino games.But students have endless problems in the process of learning mathematical induction.Based on this situation,it is imperative to find a better way to compile teaching materials and teaching design!This research mainly adopts questionnaire survey,questionnaire interview and comparative experiment method.First,the author conducted questionnaire survey and questionnaire interview for students and teachers respectively,and then collated the information to get the following conclusions.The problems existing in students are as follows:(1)not understanding the logic of Mathematical Induction;(2)not really understanding “recursion”;(3)not knowing how to apply Mathematical Induction correctly.The wrong cognition existing in teachers are as follows:(1)lack of comprehensive understanding of the logical principles of Mathematical Induction;(2)thinking that the requirements for the college entrance examination is low,and the current textbook compilation and teaching design are perfect enough;(3)considering the requirements of the college entrance examination and the students' learning situation,the related thinking training will only be strengthened in the Olympic Games and interest groups.In order to solve the above problems,considering that teaching materials and teacher teaching design guide the development of classroom activities and the effect of students ' learning,the author analyzed the shortcomings of textbook compilation and traditional teaching design,and on the basis of traditional teaching design,she devoted herself to the understanding of Mathematical Induction principle and rebuilt a teaching design(Appendix 3).According to the data of teaching results,the new teachingreally has some reasonable aspects.Based on the above theoretical and practical research,Teachers should meet the following requirements in the teaching design:(1)the introduction part should use a mathematics question to elicit;(2)The class must lead the students to use mathematical induction naturally,learning“recursion” in mathematical problems;(3)Specific examples(such as dominoes)should be applied only to assist the understanding of mathematical induction,and the distinction should also be made;(4)Inductive axioms can be introduced to students by giving the theoretical support of mathematical induction in order to demonstrate its correctness as an important means of proof.
