Training of thinking mainly lies in cultivating the ability of deduction and induction. However, the traditional mathematical education emphasizes too much on training students of the ability of deduction, to some extent, ignores the importance and necessity of the ability of mathematical induction in mathematical teaching and learning activities. Therefore, it is lack of systematic theoretical guidance and effective measures in training in the ability of mathematical induction. Basing on the existed research foundation, this work has done deep theoretical analysis and practice research about the cultivation of the ability of mathematical induction of students in junior high school mainly on the following 3 aspects.Firstly, basing on the literature summarizing and the professional discussion, from 3 angles, which are psychology, education and mathematics, it explores the research of theoretical foundation , and analyses the correlative factors of the mathematical induction, at last brings forward the strategies and teaching principles on the cultivation of the ability of the mathematical induction.Secondly, investigate the 227 junior students who are random picked from 4 schools in Chang Sha and Chang De, using questionnaire of current situation of self-made math induction ability, associating with the analysis of attending lectures and face-to-face communication. The conclusion can be drawn as that the current middle school students lack the consciousness of mathematical induction, with no positive induction habit. The reason of the phenomena is that students are effected deeply by the traditional education opinion ,the characteristic of students' psychological development, and the home education.Finally, chose a experimental class and associated class for comparison, following the teaching plan, process a whole term's teaching experimental research, with the self-made questionnaires of the ability of mathematical induction being used, adopting SPSS11.5 to process and analyze the data. Additionally, we meet the teacher and a part of the students in the experimental class, who participates in the experiment. The conclusion of the research demonstrates that the students' ability of the induction can be trained and fostered. Strengthing the eduation in the induction can help to enhance the students' ability of the induction. These results provides a evidence to the further cultivation of the math induction ability in the future.
