The Effective Elements Of A Press Conference

This research is looking for the interactions between PR professionals and journalists.In this research the practical communications technique used by PR professionals and journalists,and a press conference was studied using coorientation method—a communication theory.The research used press conference elements as coorientational items.One-hundred-nine journalists and one hundred public relations professionals take part in the online survey.Hypothesis was assessed on the relationships between three elements of coorientation variabels: agreement,accuracy,and congruency about the numerous press conference elements recommended.Findings of this research show that though some press conference elements are agreed on,the journalists and public relations professionals take "agree to disagree" method upon other press conference elements.The accuracy of the journalist and public relations professionals' views was relatively LO.Furthermore,like agreement and accuracy,both groups—journalists and public relations professionals—had a unlike view of congruency on successful press conference elements.In conclusion,journalists and public relations professionals have different view of the press conference's successful elements.
