The development of information technology has promoted the reform of education and spawned information-based teaching methods.“Compulsory education biology curriculum standards(2011)” mentioned that we should pay full attention to the use of information-based curriculum resources.As a kind of curriculum resources,video resources can enrich the materials of junior high school biology teaching resources and stimulate students' interest.However,there are also problems in the application of video resources,and the relevant theory is not mature enough,which needs to be constantly explored and verified.Based on the current situation of the application of video resources in junior high school biology teaching,this paper finds problems and designs targeted teaching cases.It attempts to solve the possible problems of video resources in junior high school biology classroom.Through specific teaching design,it helps students to improve the enthusiasm of junior high school biology,enhance classroom interest and improve teaching effect.Firstly,through questionnaires and interviews with students and teachers,this paper understands the current application status of video resources in junior high school biology teaching.The results are as follows.First,students like and expect teachers to use videos in junior high school biology teaching.Second,teachers have intention to use video resources,teachers can take the initiative to use,but in the use of frequency,way and level remains to be improved.Secondly,based on the survey results of the application status,the principles and strategies of the application of video resources in junior high school biology teaching are introduced in detail.The specific contents are as follows.First,the introduction stage should follow the principles of interest,integrity and appropriateness.The strategy of the introduction stage includes stimulating students ' interest,focusing on teaching objectives and paying attention to the correlation with teaching content.Second,in the teaching stage should follow the scientific,teacher-led and student-centered combination,intuitive and abstract combination,knowledge and ability to combine the principles.Strategies in the lecture phase include explaining abstract knowledge and providing direct experience.To cultivate students ' inquiry ability and improve the teaching process.Cultivate students 'ability to obtain information,pay attention to details.Third,the principles of consolidation,expansion and development should be followed in the consolidation and expansion stage.The strategies of consolidating the expansion stage include improving students ' attention and expanding students ' knowledge.Finally,based on the above research results,four teaching cases are designed and teaching practice is carried out.The results are as follows : Firstly,the scores of the experimental group are higher than those of the control group and have significant differences,indicating that the application of video resources in junior high school biology has a significant improvement effect.Second,students in the experimental group and the control group both expressed their preference for teachers ' use of videos in junior high school biology teaching,which could improve their interest and help them learn biology.Third,students in the experimental group expressed that they would take the initiative to use video resources to help themselves learn biology in junior high school.Based on the above research results,it is expected to provide suggestions for front-line teachers in junior high school biology teaching based on video resources from a local perspective.
