The open-ended mathematical problem has been introduced into our country since the early 1980 s,it has been a hot topic in academic mathematics research.In recent years,a certain proportion of open-ended mathematical problems have appeared in math textbooks,middle and high school examination questions and test papers,so it is of practical significance to study the open-ended mathematical problem in math textbooks.The research object of this paper is the compulsory textbooks of senior high school mathematics published in Jiangsu Education Edition in 2019,This study includes the following contents:(1)Summarize and clarify the basic understanding of the concepts and categories of open-ended mathematical problems adopted in this paper,and summarize the characteristics and teaching value of open-ended mathematical problems;(2)From the two perspectives of the textbook and the characteristics of the open-ended mathematical problem,statistical analysis is made on the number,position and type of the open-ended mathematical problem in the senior high school textbooks of Jiangsu Education Edition,and quantitative analysis of the data is carried out;(3)On the basis of text analysis and statistical analysis of the textbook,draw research conclusions.Combined with the research conclusion,from the three dimensions of the student,the textbook and the open-ended mathematical problem itself,the compilation of open-ended mathematical problems in the textbook is carried out;(4)This paper sums up the characteristics and deficiencies of this paper,and makes research thinking and outlook on the open questions of textbooks in the future,in order to provide certain and positive guiding significance for the compilation of textbooks and teachers' teaching.This paper mainly uses literature analysis,statistical analysis,content analysis and other research methods.The text analysis of the textbook is carried out from the following dimensions: quantity,knowledge topic,location,content presentation,types of situations contained,type I,type II,and asking method.Through statistical analysis,it is found that the open-ended mathematical problem in the new edition of high school mathematics textbooks mainly show the following characteristics: the position of open-ended problems lays emphasis on exploration and thinking;the content presentation is based on knowledge construction and knowledge application;the situation setting pays more attention to the reality of life;the type of open-ended problems heavy conclusion open;there are few open-ended mathematical problems of "asking questions","modeling" and "evaluation".Based on the above analysis,this paper gives research inspiration from the perspective of teachers' use of textbooks,that is,teachers can properly use the open-ended problems in the textbooks to teach and learn to properly convert the closed questions in the textbooks into open-ended questions.In addition,this paper also studies the compilation of open-ended questions in textbooks from three dimensions: students,textbooks and open-ended questions themselves.From the students' point of view,the compilation of open-ended problems should take into account the students' cognitive development,learning style and the improvement of core qualities of mathematics;From the point of view of textbooks,we can compile open-ended questions based on the teaching content and structure of textbooks;From the point of view of the open-ended problem itself,this research gives suggestions from three aspects of types of situations contained,types and asking methods of the open-ended problem.Of course,there are three shortcomings in this study:(1)Text encoding is subjective;(2)This paper is only a static study of the textbooks,and lacks the support of dynamic research;(3)The object of this study is only the compulsory series of the new edition of senior high school mathematics textbooks of Jiangsu Education Edition,and does not involve elective series or other versions of textbooks.These will be the goals of the author's follow-up research.
