Based on the previous theories and achievements of second language oral production research,paper studies the Chinese oral production of Thai middle school students.According to the score of grade 4 of the international Chinese proficiency standard test(HSK4),the subjects were divided into two groups: high level group and low level group.From the perspective of oral fluency and accuracy.Fluency was measured by speech speed,pronunciation speed,pronunciation time ratio,average flow length,average pause length,total duration of silent pause,total duration of full pause and number of changes per hundred syllables.Accuracy is measured from three aspects:phonetic accuracy,lexical accuracy and syntactic accuracy.The task of looking at pictures and then speaking is used as the induction material of oral production,and the collected corpus is transcribed and processed.The measurement results of all indexes of the two groups were calculated,SPSS26.0 was used to conduct one-way ANOVA between the high-level group and the low-level group,test whether there are significant differences between the two groups.Furthermore,Spearman correlation analysis was conducted between each index and HSK4 score,to test whether there is a correlation between the performance of each index and the score of hsk4.Finally,the Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the indicators of fluency and accuracy,whether there is a correlation between fluency and accuracy.The results are as follows:Firstly,in fluency,there are significant differences between the high-level group and the low-level group in five indicators: speaking speed,pronunciation speed,pronunciation time ratio,average flow length and total silent pause time.That is to say,the higher the learners' Chinese proficiency,the faster the oral production speed,the more syllables they produce,and the longer the language flow,the shorter the total duration of silent pause,the more the time of pronunciation per unit time.Secondly,in terms of accuracy,there are significant differences between the high-level group and the low-level group in lexical accuracy and syntactic accuracy.That is to say,the higher the learners' Chinese proficiency,the higher the accuracy of words and sentences.Thirdly,Spearman correlation analysis shows that,there is a significant correlation between HSK4 score and speaking speed,pronunciation speed,pronunciation time ratio,average flow length,total duration of silent pause,lexical accuracy and syntactic accuracy,there was no correlation with the average pause length,the total length of full pause,the number of changes per hundred syllables and the accuracy of speech;and there is a significant positive correlation between speech accuracy and speech speed and pronunciation speed.That is to say,the faster the speed of speech and pronunciation,the higher the accuracy of speech.The results are explained and analyzed by Levelt's speech production model and Anderson's cognitive skill development model.Finally,according to the conclusion of the study,this paper tries to put forward some suggestions on Chinese teaching and learning for Thai middle school students.
