Sustainable development is an crucial trend of long-term global development,one significant part of which is green chemistry.The establishment of green chemistry teaching programme will help promote the process of global sustainable development,and it should start with students.Junior high school is the beginning of systematic study of chemistry,thence teaching students on the concept of green chemistry is of great significance to cultivating students' awareness and skills in environmental protection,in this period.By reviewing the literature,it is found that the teaching design based on the concept of green chemistry is relatively lacking in the teaching system of the junior high school,especially in rural areas where education is relatively backward.Therefore,how to conduct green chemistry teaching so that students can understand the concept of green chemistry and the awareness of environmental protection is a such great interesting subject.The thesis study the current status of the teaching of the concept of green chemistry in rural junior high schools via survey questionnaires of student and teacher interview outlines.It is found that the teaching of green chemistry in rural junior high schools is lacking,which is reflected in the students' lack of understanding of green chemistry and weak environmental awareness.Therefore,in order to strengthen students' understanding of green chemistry and cultivate students to extend the depth of students' comprehension of green chemistry,it is required to integrate the concept of green chemistry into junior high school chemistry teaching,update and enrich the teaching content and teaching methods,so as to improve students' awareness of environmental protection.Based on the current teaching situation and existing research,the teaching strategies of "digging into relevant content of textbooks","interspersing green chemistry application examples adapted to the content of textbooks","designing problems or learning activities to diagnose and develop students' green chemistry concept level" are proposed.The teaching strategy and resources,including the summary and analysis of textbooks and related network resources,which can be used for the concept of green chemistry in junior high schools,have carried out a teaching design based on the concept of green chemistry for topics such as "making oxygen" and "caring for water resources".Then two classes of a rural junior high school are selected for teaching practice,the effect is examined by test papers,activity feedback and observations of teachers.The results suggest that students have improved their knowledge of green chemistry,scientific inquiry level,and environmental awareness,which indicates that the design of chemistry teaching based on the concept of green chemistry in rural junior high schools is effective.
