Nowadays, the world has become a society driven by science and technology, and scientific and technological innovation is the key support to improve the comprehensive national strength. With the continuous development of information technology,a new way of thinking emerges as the times——Computational Thinking. As a product of the times,it has been embedded in the process of problem solving.Although Computational Thinking originated from computer science,it is constantly extending to other disciplines, especially its cross integration with mathematics, which reflects the close relationship between computational thinking and mathematical thinking. However, the current research on Computational Thinking in primary and secondary schools is mostly limited to the information technology discipline, lack of teaching practice related to mathematics. In order to explore the development direction of the integration of Computational Thinking and mathematics, this study mainly discusses the following questions:(1)How to construct the game teaching mode of junior high school mathematics based on the cultivation of Computational Thinking?(2)How does the game teaching of junior high school mathematics based on the cultivation of Computational Thinking affect students' computational thinking level and mathematics learning attitude?A total of 12 middle school students(7 boys and 5 girls)participated in the study.Together with the researchers, they carried out a three week game mathematics course based on the cultivation of computational thinking. Therefore, this study first defines the five main dimensions of Computational Thinking: Creativity,Algorithmic Thinking,Critical Thinking,Problem Solving,Cooperation and Communication Skills.Around these five dimensions, this paper analyzes and expounds the correlation between computational thinking and mathematics, discusses the possibility of cultivating Computational Thinking in mathematics teaching, and analyzes the advantages of game teaching in cultivating Computational Thinking in junior middle school.Secondly, with scratch programming software as the teaching platform and game teaching as the main way,the information technology and mathematics are deeply integrated, and the design principles of consistency, subjectivity, operability and integration of teaching and doing are followed to construct the junior high school mathematics game teaching mode based on the cultivation of computational thinking. Finally, according to the construction of teaching mode, design specific courses, carry out teaching practice, explore the changes of students' Computational Thinking Ability and mathematics learning attitude, verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the teaching mode, and optimize the teaching mode. The researchers use interviews, questionnaires, classroom observation and other methods to collect data, use SPSS software to analyze the data, take classroom observation as the process evaluation index,Computational Thinking scale and student feedback as the summary evaluation index, and finally show the change of students' Computational Thinking Ability and their attitude towards mathematics learning. The results show that:(1)the game teaching mode of junior high school mathematics based on the cultivation of computational thinking is feasible, which can guide teachers to design the game course of junior high school mathematics;(2)from the results of data analysis, the students' computational thinking ability has changed to a certain extent, among which the cooperative communication and problem-solving ability has been improved significantly;(3)through interviews and student feedback The game teaching method combined with programming enriches the way of mathematics learning, effectively stimulates students' interest in mathematics, and changes students' cognition of mathematics learning.
