Deep learning is a kind of understanding critical learning, and also a kind of lifelong learning. As an important way of contemporary learning, deep learning has gradually penetrated into all disciplines, and it is also an inevitable choice to promote the reform of various courses. At present, the research of deep learning has involved various disciplines, but the degree of combination with chemistry is still not high, and the research combining with the theoretical knowledge of chemistry is even less.Theoretical knowledge of chemistry is the main part of high school chemistry, and it is the bridge connecting college chemistry and high school chemistry.Students need to master this part of knowledge to reach a higher level,so the research on students’ deep learning is particularly important. In this paper,A questionnaire survey was adopted to explore the deep learning of chemical theoretical knowledge and its influencing factors in three different types of schools in Hunan Province, namely A Middle School(A national famous model high school),B Middle School(A regular school in Changsha City),and C Middle School(A county-level high school). The following conclusions are drawn:In general, the deep learning status of chemical theoretical knowledge in the three schools shows that middle school A is the best, middle school B is slightly weaker than middle school A,and middle school C is worse, basically consistent with the school level.According to the analysis, there is no significant difference in the status quo of deep learning of chemical theoretical knowledge between the students of A Middle School and B Middle School. There are significant differences between C Middle School and A Middle School in the dimensions of association and structure, activity and experience, essence and variation, and value and evaluation. There are significant differences with B Middle School in the dimensions of association and structure, essence and variation, transfer and application, value and evaluation.By comparing the factors influencing the deep learning of chemical theoretical knowledge in the three schools, from the perspective of learning motivation, nearly 50% of students in A Middle School lack internal motivation, while most students in the other two schools lack internal motivation. From the perspective of learning style, students from elite schools are more likely to understand knowledge from the essence of knowledge and draw inferences from one example.City ordinary middle schools are second, while students from county ordinary middle schools are more likely to stay in the surface and fail to follow the surface. From the perspective of learning ability, students from elite schools are more outstanding in asking questions, critical reflection, transfer and application, while students from ordinary middle schools in counties are relatively weak in learning ability. From the perspective of learning environment, students in the three schools all like the relaxed and democratic classroom atmosphere and are eager to make friends with teachers.
