The current society is in the incubation period of technological revolution and industrial transformation.The demand for new talents in the future for technological innovation and economic transition is increasing.In particular,a large number of innovative compound talents with good scientific literacy,specific technical expertise,and good at solving practical problems are urgently needed.STEM education,which advocates multi-disciplinary integration and focuses on the cultivation of innovative spirit as well as practical ability,has attracted widespread attention from all over the world.STEM is the acronym of science,technology,engineering,and mathematics.It emphasizes multi-disciplinary integration and plays an essential role in cultivating students' 21st-century skills,including communication ability,cooperation ability,critical thinking ability,and creative ability.Thus,this paper integrates the STEM concept into biology experiment teaching research in junior middle school.I hope that through integrating stem education concept into junior high school biology experiment teaching,we can design junior high school biology experiment teaching cases under stem education concept,hope to add vitality to junior high school biology experiment class,make students like biology experiment class to increase,let students be full of interest and enthusiasm in the way of full thinking and communication,cultivate students' stem literacy and communication Scientific attitude makes biology course which integrates stem education more suitable for junior middle school classroom.Through literature review,the author sorts out the origin and development of stem education,the international background,as well as the core concepts,methods,and standards of STEM education.The methods of interview and questionnaire survey are also used to investigate the classroom learning and feedback of the seventh and eighth-grade students in Jinzhou No.5 Middle School,as well as teachers' views on the process and effects of biology experiment teaching in junior middle school integrated with STEM education concepts.Based on determining the content of the experiment as "Exploring the impact of acid rain on creatures" and "Detecting bacteria and fungi in different environments," the design of biology experiment teaching in junior middle school under the STEM education model is constructed: Developing the scenarios and Identifying the problems;Investigation and Research;Concept formation;Viewpoint analysis;Model building;Testing and Optimization;Communication and Reflection.After the implementation of teaching cases,the students' performance and learning outcomes are evaluated and compared analyze the teaching process.Adopt a pluralistic evaluation method,carry on student self-evaluation,group mutual evaluation,teacher evaluation.The contents of evaluation include outcome evaluation and process evaluation.The former is for the evaluation of experimental results,homework completion and experimental content mastery,while the latter is for the evaluation of scheme design,attitude in the experimental process,participation in the experiment,performance in the communication process,etc.Combined with the model,learning results,test results,and questionnaire,Excel and SPSS software were used to analyze the measurement results.In China,the research on stem education concept is of great significance.The teaching design of junior middle school biology experiment course integrated with stem teaching concept can not fully refer to the teaching mode of stem course.Its teaching characteristics need to be more suitable for the teaching content of junior middle school,and it should be easy to implement in the process of junior middle school compulsory education.Students' ability of hands-on operation,innovative thinking and solving practical problems in junior middle school experimental courses,their attention to experimental principles,ideas and operations,and their participation in group experiments need to be improved.According to the analysis of the research results,it can be concluded that the biological experiment course integrated with the STEM education concept is more prevalent among students and stimulates their interest in learning.It can exercise students' creative thinking ability,problem-solving ability,and hands-on ability.Learning happily and meaningfully,In addition,their biological performance can also be improved.Therefore,STEM education is a carrier of cultivating comprehensive qualities for all students.It is necessary to apply STEM educational concepts to the design of biology teaching.Finally,the author puts forward the following suggestions for integrating stem education into junior middle school biology experimental class in China: Constructing stem curriculum suitable for junior middle school students in the stage of compulsory education;Improve the school's teaching equipment and teaching environment;Strengthen the popularization and training of school teachers on stem education;Cultivate professional compound teachers with stem literacy;Construct a systematic teaching design of stem course in junior middle school biology;Carry out diversified evaluation in the teaching process.
