Only by deeply analyzing students' cognitive structure and taking appropriate medicine can we promote teachers' teaching and students' learning.Cognitive diagnosis provides a good tool for deeply analysing students' cognitive structure.Using the compiled quadratic function test paper and the cognitive diagnosis fusion model,I studied the cognitive structure of quadratic function of junior middle school students in Southern Xinjiang in this article. The specific questions of the study are as follows:(1)How to determine the reasonable cognitive attributes and hierarchy relationships of quadratic function knowledge?(2)How to compile an effective test paper based on the identified cognitive attributes and hierarchy relationships?(3)What are the mastery modes of quadratic function cognitive attributes of junior high school students in Southern Xinjiang?(4)How to improve teaching and learning according to the analysis of their attribute mastery modes? In the study, five cognitive attributes of quadratic function were determined, respectively were: the definition of quadratic function, the expressions of quadratic function, the image and the property of quadratic function, the quadratic function and the quadratic equations with one unknown, and the integrated applications of quadratic function, and then I divided their hierarchy relationships, determined the ideal mastery modes and formed the test paper.Through the pre-test and revising the test paper,I testing the 464 students in the ninth grade in southern Xinjiang.Cognitive diagnostic analysis of 454 valid test papers showed that:Among the 454 subjects,293 subjects can be classified into 8 ideal mastery modes, accounting for 64.54% of the total number,161 subjects can not be classified into the ideal mastery modes, accounting for 35.46% of the total number.Among them(1)The proportion of subjects who did not master any attribute was 33.92%;(2)21 subjects mastered all five attributes, accounting for 4.63% of the total number of subjects;(3)139 subjects mastered at least one attribute, accounting for 30.62% of the total number of subjects;(4)161 subjects can't be classified into the ideal mastery modes, accounting for35.46% of the total number of subjects;(5)There were 2 subjects who had mastered the definition of quadratic function and the images and properties of quadratic function, accounting for 0.44% of the total number of subjects, while there were 24 subjects who had mastered the definition of quadratic function and the expression of quadratic function, accounting for 5.29% of the total number of subjects.Based on Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, the causes of various cognitive impairments were analyzed. Then, the results were discussed based on Ausubel's theory of meaningful acceptance and learning motivation.
