At present,Chinese teenagers are facing a general physical decline crisis.It is urgent to improve the physical health level of teenagers.It has become a collective appeal to promote teenagers to develop good sports behavior and establish the concept of lifelong sports.As an important part of school sports,cheerleading club is widely welcomed by primary school students.The cheerleading club has the characteristics of physical arts integration and grade mixing.In this study,some students from three elementary school in Wuhan were selected as the respondents.The students were divided into three categories: cheerleading club students,soccer club students,and students who did not participate in sports clubs.By comparing the dimensions of their sports motivation,sports frequency,sports time and sports intensity,this study explores the following issues:whether there are differences in sports motivation and sports behavior of different types of students;whether the cheerleading club will affect students’ sports motivation;whether the cheerleading club will affect students’ sports behavior.This paper aims to explore the educational value of Cheerleading Sports in promoting primary school students’ Sports under the background of the integration of sports and education,and confirm that cheerleading clubs are an important part of school sports.At the same time,this study further provides data feedback for the policy implementation of students’ physical development;Provide references for the development of Cheerleading clubs in primary schools;Provide case support for the improvement and construction of Cheerleading project theoretical system.Finally,this study is expected to promote the cheerleading club to better promote and develop in basic education.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)As an integral part of primary school physical education,sports clubs play a role in promoting primary school students to participate in sports;(2)There are differences in internal motivation,external motivation and no motivation between the students of the cheerleading club and the students of the football club.There are also differences in sports frequency,sports time and sports intensity;(3)Participating in cheerleading club will affect students’ sports motivation. Cheerleading club will enhance students’ internal motivation and external motivation,and reduce non motivation;(4)Participating in cheerleading clubs will affect students’ sports behavior.Cheerleading clubs will improve students’ Sports frequency,prolong sports time and increase sports intensity;(5)Cheerleading clubs change students’ sports behavior by affecting students’ sports motivation.In the context of the integration of sports and education,aiming at giving full play to the educational value of cheerleading,the research puts forward the following suggestions:(1)schools should try again and give full play to the educational value of Cheerleading;(2)Cheerleading clubs should make rational and effective use of competitive competition opportunities to enhance students’ sports motivation;(3)Cheerleading clubs should carry out training activities according the characteristics of students;(4)Cheerleading clubs should strengthen organization and management and improve rules and regulations.
