The ability to solve practical problems is an important goal for talents training.In high school physics courses students should be cultivated to have this essential ability.However,Chinese students have shortcomings in this field.This study reflects on the relationship between the situational features and practical problem-solving ability and sums up teaching enlightenment by analyzing life and practice situational tests of physics in College Entrance Examination,sorting out the features of its situation and the testing characteristics on practical problem-solving ability.The study is expected to improve teaching current situation.Life Practice Situation is one of the two major situations proposed by the "China College Entrance Evaluation System".It is from daily life and production practice and mainly undertakes a test function of the ability to solve practical problems.This study adopts Roegiers' s situational typology and analyzes the life practice situation tests in the physical tests of the new course standard national test paper I of College Entrance Examination from 2010 to 2020.It also combines some theories of problem-solving to analyze the relationship between the situational features of the test and examining the problem-solving ability.The study has confirmed that the feasibility of applying situational typology theories into analyzing test questions of physics for College Entrance Examination.It believes that the situational typology classification framework can manifest the testing characteristics about the ability to solve practical problems from test questions of physic for College Entrance Examination,including the following five aspects:(1)The situation is real and deeply combined.The pictures and tables are various.These can test the information extraction ability;(2)It values basic concepts,laws,and inferential capability to test the physical representational ability;(3)It values implied conditions to highlight testing on the problem-classification ability;(4)It values numerical conditions,symbolic conditions and calculation questions to test the ability to solve physical problems with mathematical knowledge;(5)It values the universality of situation materials to test the transfer ability to solve physical problems.Based on the five testing characteristics,the study proposes the following teaching suggestions for high school physics teachers: package condition information diversely to cultivate information extraction ability;create life situations to cultivate physical representational ability;concentrate on building physical model based on real objects to cultivate the problem-classification ability;and use real situations to cultivate the ability to solve dynamics problems with mathematical knowledge.
