The "Biology Curriculum Standard for Ordinary Senior High School(2017 Edition2020 Revision)" formulated by the Ministry of Education puts forward that the fundamental task of biology curriculum is to improve the core literacy of biology required by students' lifelong development,and the biology textbook is a re-creation based on the curriculum standard.Compared with the original textbook,there are significant differences in the exercises after class,especially the exercises for examining the development level of the core literacy of the subject are original and updated,and the content has also been appropriately adjusted and optimized.In-depth study of exercises after class in new textbooks will help teachers to make better use of exercises after class in teaching practice to achieve the core literacy goal.On the basis of sorting out the existing research,this paper takes selective compulsory textbooks 1 and 2 as the research objects,and studies them from two aspects of exercise structure and content.The structural level includes question quantity and type of question,and the content level includes exercise openness,exercise cognition,problem presentation,exercise situation and core literacy.Through Excel statistics and preliminary discussion,the characteristics of after-school exercises are summarized.Combined with the above analysis,a questionnaire survey was conducted among teachers and students in many schools in Tianjin,and the data were statistically sorted out to understand the application of exercises after class and the attitudes of teachers and students.The survey results show that teachers and students have a positive attitude towards after-class exercises,and they can consciously use concept testing exercises in actual teaching and learning,but they tend to ignore open questions,data analysis questions,etc.,and their understanding of the functions of after-class exercises is limited.Aiming at the problems existing in teaching,this paper puts forward the compilation of after-class exercises and teaching suggestions.Conclusions are drawn based on the above research:(1)The amount of questions is moderate and the types are abundant,among which the basic questions of textual representation are dominant,but the questions with medium cognitive level are lacking.(2)The number of open questions,chart questions and data questions in the exercises after class in the new textbook has increased significantly,and the exercises focus on the development of students' thinking and ability,but the utilization rate of some open questions is not high.(3)After-class exercises in new textbooks pay attention to the creation of situations and the solution of practical problems,but the distribution of various types of situations is uneven.(4)After-class exercises in new textbooks attach great importance to the formation of core literacy,and the specific representations of each literacy are reflected,with more emphasis on concept of life and scientific thinking.(5)Teachers and students pay more attention to after-school exercises,mainly using the concept detection part,but lack of in-depth analysis of after-school exercises,and there is a problem that knowledge is valued over ability.
