In the wave of global education reform,high-order thinking is regarded as the core competitiveness of talents,and various countries have been exploring the cultivation scheme of high-order thinking.However,our school education tends to decompose the subject content into a series of fragmentary concepts and theorems,and carry out cumulative teaching according to the subject logic,resulting in isolated class hours,knowledge independence,unit fragmentation and lack of connection between subjects.Such teaching is not conducive to the development of students' thinking flexibility,integrity,and depth.The cultivation of higher-order thinking needs the help of the concept of unit teaching.Unit teaching,originating from "holism",is an organic and modular organization and construction of curriculum,which conforms to the characteristics of higher-order thinking.In the carefully integrated classroom learning,students can acquire a broader knowledge background and increase the possibility of transfer and application.In the existing studies,there are abundant researches on the connotation and structure of learners' higher-order thinking,and a series of evaluation models of higher-order thinking have been formed,which provides a solid theoretical basis for this study.However,the research on the cultivation of higher order thinking is mostly described at the experience level and lacks practical test.Based on literature review,this study intends to verify whether unit teaching is beneficial to the development of students' higher-order thinking through experimental research.The core issue is further refined into three sub-issues:Question 1: Theoretically,can we develop students' higher-order thinking through unit teaching?Question 2: Practically,how to operate the unit teaching of "Space vector and solid geometry" based on the cultivation of higher-order thinking?Question 3: How is the practice effect of unit teaching in developing high school students' higher order thinking?The main conclusions of this study are as follows:The fourth chapter in detail based on higher order thinking training with solid geometry "and the" space vector teaching overall design,the space vector and the three-dimensional geometry chapter undertake compulsory second volume of "plane vector and its application" and "preliminary" solid geometry,has a great value of unit teaching,can open wire by analogy plane vector,Vector method,geometric method(synthetic method),coordinate method comprehensive application as the dark line through the whole unit teaching activities.Through the experimental process and data analysis,the teaching of "space vector and solid geometry" is helpful to the development of students' higher-order thinking and has a long-term influence.But the effective implementation of mathematics unit teaching also needs teachers' systematic grasp of teaching materials,teaching and students,teachers' collective support and flexible extension of class hours.This research has some innovative significance in method and practice,and the research results provide reference for the cultivation of higher-order thinking and the design of unit teaching.However,the experiment time is short,and the cultivation of students' higher-order thinking is a long-term and continuous process.A slightly rough evaluation scheme is the deficiency of this study,which is also the focus of the next stage of research.
