Radar has been widely used in both military and civil fields.The debugging and testing of radar will consume huge resources.Radar target simulator can reduce the waste of resources and the time of radar development by simulating the echo signal of radar,so radar target simulator has attracted more and more attention in domestic and overseas.Nowadays,radar target simulator has become an important part of radar system.In this paper,the radar target simulator is taken as the research subject,and the part of RF the front-end of the radar target simulator is designed.The main work of this paper is as follows.1.The overall design of RF front-end of radar target simulator is proposed.Based on the analysis of radar test task and principle,and the realization method of radar target simulator,the design scheme of RF front-end of radar target simulator is proposed,and the design index of RF front-end is decomposed and demonstrated.2.The design of filter and power divider for radar target simulator is completed.The frequency range of the filter used in the radar target simulator includes X-band and L-band.The X-band filter uses the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW)technology and coupling technology.The design of X-band filter is completed by HFSS simulation,and it is processed and tested.The test performance is good and meets the design requirements.L-band filter uses hairpin resonator technology,coupling technology and tap feeding technology.The L-band filter is designed by HFSS,and it is processed and tested.Its test performance is good and meets the design ruquirements.The X-band power divider adopts Wilkinson technology.The Xband power divider designed by HFSS,and it is processed and tested.The test performance is good and meets the design requirements.3.The design of low noise amplifier for radar target simulator is completed.The low noise amplifier band for the radar target simulator includes X-band and L-band.The X-band and L-band LNA adopts negative feedback technology,minimum noise matching technology and maximum gain matching technology.An X-band LNA with a frequency of 10.4GHzto 10.55 GHz and an L-band LNA with a frequency of1.4GHz to 1.55 GHz are simulated by ADS software.The design results of X-band and L-band LNA are good and meets design requirements.In summary,this paper takes the radar target simulator as the research topic,puts forward the design scheme of the front-end of the radar target simulator,and focuses on the design of the required RF devices.The design of X-band and L-band filter,Xband power divider and X-band and L-band LNA are completed.The design performance is good and meets the design requirements.
