With the rapid development of China’s aerospace field,satellite communication technology has been greatly improved.As an important link of communication system data transmission,the switch maintains the normal operation of the whole communication network.The traditional Ethernet switch is widely used in various fields because of the universality and low cost of Ethernet technology.However,due to the lack of confidentiality and high reliability,it can not meet the needs of satellite communication technology.Therefore,it is necessary to design a switch system using dedicated data protocol to meet the needs of satellite communication technology.This dissertation is based on FPGA to design a private switch system,to achieve a custom dedicated data protocol Ethernet switch system.Through the analysis of the requirements of the system to give a specific design scheme,the main completion of the work is as follows: Firstly,Ethernet protocol and custom private link data protocol are studied,and the protocol converter is designed through FPGA internal logic to realize the conversion between Ethernet protocol and custom private link data protocol.Then,the design scheme of high-speed interface and internal structure of the system was studied,and the design of modules such as interface,forwarding publication and queue management was completed through the relevant IP core and FPGA internal logic design provided by Xilinx Company,so as to realize the data transmission between protocol converter and switch and the table lookup and forwarding of private link packets.Finally,the performance and function of the whole system are tested and analyzed through simulation and actual board level verification.The test results show that the system design meets the requirements of performance and function.
