Research On The Cultural Confidence Power Of Provincial Comprehensive Archives In China

In 2011,the Sixth Plenary Session of the 17 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China pointed out the need to cultivate a high degree of cultural self-confidence.In 2019,the country put forward the overall goal of a comprehensive revival of traditional culture by 2025.Culture is of great significance in promoting national progress and development.The cultural attributes of archival collections are manifested in their ability to closely link archival undertakings and human social activities.As the cornerstone of cultural confidence in comprehensive archives,archival resources in comprehensive archives play a unique value in cultural education,cultural value-added and cultural services.The concept of comprehensive archives using the historical and cultural characteristics of archival collections to continuously deepen the cultural confidence coincides with the strategy of strengthening China through culture in recent years.Based on the knowledge of the cultural self-confidence of comprehensive archives,this paper selects three provincial archives from the eastern,central and western regions as research subjects,and uses online and field research to understand the construction of their cultural self-confidence,analyzes the achievements,problems and causes of the construction of the cultural self-confidence of provincial comprehensive archives in China and proposes targeted measures to improve the cultural self-confidence of provincial comprehensive archives in China.The main content of the study is developed from the following aspects:Firstly,the basic knowledge of the cultural self-confidence of comprehensive archives is clarified to lay the basis for the subsequent research.Secondly,through field research and online research,this paper investigates the current situation of the construction of cultural self-confidence in provincial comprehensive archives,analyzes the achievements of the construction of cultural self-confidence in comprehensive archives,and briefly analyzes the problems and causes of the problems,so as to lay the foundation for how to improve the cultural self-confidence of comprehensive archives.Finally,in view of the existing problems,the path to enhance the cultural self-confidence of comprehensive archives is proposed from four aspects: cultural leadership,cultural heritage,cultural services and cultural innovation.In the author’s opinion,it should establish the general concept of comprehensive archives serving cultural self-confidence by updating the concept;promote the cultural heritage value of archival collections by mining the collections;strengthen the cultural service forms of comprehensive archives by integrating services;and enhance the cultural self-confidence power of comprehensive archives by innovating mechanisms.The cultural characteristics of the comprehensive archives themselves are strong support for the cultural self-confidence of the comprehensive archives which can contribute to promote the construction of the cultural self-confidence power of the comprehensive archives,therefore not only provide strong safeguard and support for the development of the society,but also enhance the national pride and improve the comprehensive strength of the country.This paper summarizes the experience of comprehensive archives in enhancing cultural self-confidence so as to provide implications for the construction and development of cultural self-confidence in China’s archives sector.
