Research On Socialized Service Of University Library In Liaoning Province

With the continuous growth of social demand for public culture,the public cultural services provided by public libraries can no longer meet the cultural needs of the public.As an important part of public cultural services,university libraries should actively carry out socialized services to make up for the shortcomings of Public Libraries in terms of collection resources and information technology,At the same time,it also makes it possible to improve and establish a public cultural service system covering the whole society.Firstly,using the literature research method,this paper combs the theoretical research on the related concepts of public cultural services and socialized services of university libraries.Through the investigation of the current situation of socialized services of 39 University Libraries in Liaoning Province,this paper obtains the relevant data of service fields,objects,methods and effects,and uses the questionnaire to investigate the development,service effects and satisfaction of socialized services of university libraries,Through the analysis of the above survey data,the results show that the University Libraries in Liaoning Province have carried out socialized services to varying degrees,with paid and free services,electronic resources and information services,joint opening and ancient books and documents services as the main service modes.In terms of service effect,62.82% of university libraries have carried out paid services,70.08% of university libraries have carried out free services,and 71.8% of university libraries provide electronic resource services,but social readers are required to use them in the library.In terms of investigating the effect and satisfaction of social readers with the socialized service of university library,53.94% thought that the procedures or processes of entering the library were cumbersome,30.9% thought that the scope of open resources should be expanded,and 48.31% thought that the service satisfaction was general.Through the results of data analysis,combined with the relevant theoretical research basis,it is found that there are still some problems in the policies,concepts and funds of University Libraries in Liaoning Province in carrying out socialized services.The reasons are insufficient policy implementation,lack of public service awareness and limited funds of university libraries.Finally,this paper points out that we should establish and improve the legal system for the protection of public cultural services in Colleges and universities,update the service concept This paper puts forward some suggestions on promoting the socialized service of University Libraries in Liaoning Province from the aspects of establishing special funds,establishing reward and supervision mechanism.
