With the progress of society and the coming of digital age,computational thinking has gradually become a necessary compound ability for K-12 students.One of the effective ways to cultivate computational thinking is to carry out programming education in the information technology course.Educators widely pay attention to the actual teaching of programming education,and put forward different teaching modes.However,how to choose the appropriate teaching mode for different learning situation is the research hotspot.At present,the research on the teaching mode of computational thinking is mainly concentrated in urban primary and secondary schools,students' computer foundation and school hardware and software facilities are better,and the research on Computational Thinking of students in poor areas is less.In order to achieve educational poverty alleviation and educational equity,we can not ignore the cultivation of Computational Thinking of primary and secondary school students in poor areas.It is worth exploring what kind of teaching mode can be used for programming education to better cultivate the computational thinking of students in this area.Firstly,through literature analysis,this study combs the current situation of computational thinking cultivation,evaluation and experiential learning teaching at home and abroad,and defines the concepts of scratch,Computational Thinking and experiential learning.Then,taking Ji'an City of Jiangxi Province,which is one of the 14 contiguous poverty-stricken areas in China,as an example,this paper selects the seventh grade students of a junior high school in Ji'an as the research object,analyzes the characteristics of learners and the conjunction of experiential learning and scratch,and combines the advantages of scratch based on experiential learning theory to construct a graphic programming teaching activity mode based on experiential learning theory.Then,taking the scratch content in the information technology course as the teaching content,the teaching design of the scratch course in the entry stage and the improvement stage is carried out.Using the quasi experimental method,two classes of grade seven are selected,and the application experience learning teaching mode and the traditional teaching mode are implemented respectively for a period of 10 hours.Finally,SPSS 20.0 software is used to analyze the data of Computational Thinking Test filled in by students before and after teaching.Dr.scratch platform is used to analyze the process of scratch works in teaching.Interview method is used to evaluate students' ideas of scratch teaching activity mode based on experiential learning for qualitative analysis.The research shows that the application of experiential learning teaching mode in scratch teaching of junior middle school in poor areas with weak programming education can cultivate students' computational thinking more than traditional teaching,which affects the creativity,algorithmic thinking,cooperative learning,critical thinking and problem solving of computational thinking.It can provide reference for cultivating students' Computational Thinking in poor areas.
