Intervention Of Aut Play Therapy On Emotion Regulation Ability Of Autistic Children

The deficiency of emotion regulation ability is a prominent symptom of autism spectrum disorder.Emotion regulation ability is not only of great significance to individuals themselves,but also has an important impact on other aspects of individual social life.The improvement of autistic children's emotion regulation ability can help them improve their social interaction ability,establish good family and peer relationships,and help them better integrate into daily life.This study introduces a new intervention method for autistic children,Aut Play therapy.Through the specific game program of Aut Play therapy,three autistic children are intervened in the ability of emotion regulation,in order to explore the teaching effect of Aut Play therapy on autistic children ability of emotion regulation.This study adopts the method of Multiple Baseline Across-Behaviors Design in Single-Subject Experiment Design,the subjects are three autistic children in a special school in Hangzhou.The independent variable is the teaching intervention of Aut Play therapy,and the dependent variable is the target behavior in the field of emotion regulation.The target behaviors of subject A were "emotion recognition behavior","emotion expression behavior" and "emotion management behavior"(biting clothes);the target behaviors of subject B were "emotion recognition behavior","emotion expression behavior" and "emotion management behavior"(screaming);the target behaviors of subject C were "emotion expression behavior","situational emotion recognition behavior" and "active sharing behavior".After determining the target behavior,the researchers conducted Aut Play intervention on three subjects to determine the intervention effect of Aut Play therapy on the emotion regulation ability of three autistic children and its generalization effect in natural situations.Finally,a questionnaire survey was conducted among three class teachers and their main caregivers to analyze the social validity of the intervention.The results are as follows:(1)Aut Play therapy has a good immediate and sustained effect on the emotional regulation ability of autistic children.(2)Aut Play therapy has a good generalization effect on the intervention of emotional regulation ability of autistic children.(3)Aut Play therapy has good social validity in the intervention of autistic children's emotion regulation ability.
