Study On The Remains Of Animals At The Site Of Shilipubei In Shandong Province

Shilipubei Site is located about 100 meters north of Shilipu Village,Fangshan Town,Dingtao County,Shandong Province.It was discovered due to construction.Large-scale exploration and excavation were carried out from the second half of 2014 to the spring of 2015.The site is composed of the remains of mound in the north and two hills in the southwest and southeast,with a total area of more than 90,000 square meters.Including Dawenkou culture,Longshan culture,Yueshi culture,Shang,Eastern Zhou,Han,Tang and other cultural relics from different periods,especially Longshan culture,Yueshi culture,and late Shang Dynasty are the most abundant.This article takes the animal remains from the Longshan culture period to the Shang culture period excavated at the site as the main research object,using zooarchaeology research methods to study and explore the use of animal resources and the economics of animal resources in various periods of the site;combined with the research results of archaeobotany and geology,restore the natural environment around the site,and discuss the natural disasters that have occurred in the site.This paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter is an introduction that introduces the research content and research objects of this article,briefly sort out the discovery of animal remains in the border areas of Shandong,Henan and Anhui from the period of Longshan culture to the late Shang period.The second chapter is the statistics of unearthed animal remains and quantity.Introduce the animal remains of the site in various periods according to the classification of animals,and carry out quantitative statistics and analysis of fauna composition.The third chapter is the study of animal resource utilization and economy.Through morphological observation,age structure analysis,relative proportions,the discovery rate of bone parts,the degree of bone fragmentation,the calculation of meat consumption,and the analysis of bone surface traces,the methods of site residents’utilization of animals and the economics of site production are studied in different periods.And select the same area at the same time or different areas at the same time for comparative analysis,in order to study the characteristics of the site and the commonalities between the sites in the same area.The chapter four is the research on the ancient environment of the ruins.According to the habits of various animals,combined with the research results of archaeobotany,infer the changes in the surrounding environment of the site in different periods;and combined with the results of geological research,explore the natural disasters that occurred during the Longshan Cultural Period to the Yueshi Cultural Period at the site.Chapter four summarizes the research results of this article.
