Investigation And Evaluation Of Ex Situ Conservation Status Of Key Protected Wild Plants In China

Based on the survey on Ex Situ conservation of national key protected wild plant resources in China,this paper makes a statistical analysis of the number of Ex Situ conservation species and Ex Situ conservation institutions,and draws the following conclusions:1.China has protected a total of 250 species of national key protected wild plant in Ex Situ,accounting for 83.3% of the 300 species in the List of National Key Protection Plants(1999)and 16.7% of key protected wild plants.There are 54 species of national key protected wild plants with more than 1,000 Ex Situ conservation numbers.There are 71 species of national key protected wild plants with individual numbers of Ex Situ conservation between 101 and 1,000.There are 28 species of national key protected wild plants with population numbers of Ex Situ conservation between 51 and 100.There are47 species of national key protected wild plants with 11 to 50 individuals,and 43 species of national key protected wild plants with 1 to 10 individuals under Ex Situ conservation.There are 7 species of national key protected wild plants with 0 individuals under Ex situ conservation.2.Among the 134 Ex Situ conservation institutions evaluated,16 are in the Chinese Academy of Sciences System,accounting for 11.9% of the total number of Ex Situ conservation institutions in the country.The Ex Situ conservation organization of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has carried out Ex Situ conservation of 213 species of wild plants under national key protection,with 17,187 plants preserved,accounting for 1.47%of the 1,169,623 Ex Situ conservation of wild plants under national key protection;there are 22 urban construction system,accounting for 16.4% of the total number of Ex Situ conservation institutions in the country.The urban construction system has carried out Ex Situ protection of 144 kinds of national key protected wild plants,accounting for 57.6%of the 250 national key protected wild plants that have been protected Ex Situ in my country;38,773 species have been preserved,accounting for 3.31% of the quantity of Ex Situ conservation of national key protected wild plants.There are 86 Ex Situ protection institutions in the forestry system,accounting for64.2% of the total number of Ex Situ protection institutions in the country.The forestry system has carried out Ex Situ protection of 215 species of national key protected wild plants,accounting for 86% of the 250 national key protected wild plants that have been protected in Ex Situ conservation in my country.There are 1,100,479 preserved plants of conservation number,accounting for 94.09% with Ex Situ conservation numbers of national key protected wild plants.There are 4 Ex Situ conservation institutions in the education system,accounting for 3% of the total number of Ex Situ conservation institutions in the country.The education system has carried out Ex Situ protection of 50 kinds of national key protected wild plants,accounting for 20% of the 250 kinds of national key protected wild plants that have been protected Ex Situ in my country.There are 3,809 preserved plants,accounting for 0.33% of the Ex Situ conservation and preservation of national key protected wild plants;There are 5 Ex Situ protection institutions in the medical system,accounting for3.7% of the total number of Ex Situ protection institutions in the country.The medical system has carried out Ex Situ protection of 68 kinds of national key protected wild plants,accounting for 27.2% of the 250 kinds of national key protected wild plants that have been protected Ex Situ in my country.There are 6,736 preserved wild plants,accounting for 0.58% of the Ex Situ conservation of national key protected wild plants;the agricultural system has carried out Ex Situ conservation of 21 kinds of national key protected wild plants,accounting for 8.4% of the 250 kinds of the national key protected wild plants that have been protected Ex Situ in my country.There are 2,639 plants have been preserved,accounting for 0.23% of the number of national key protected wild plants in Ex Situ conservation.The most of Ex Situ conservation agencies are located on the right side of the Hu Huanyong line,which means that most of the current Ex Situ conservation agencies in mainland China are located in economically developed areas.3.By evaluating the adaptability of 29 Ex Situ conservation institutions selected,the results show that the adaptability evaluation of the national key protected wild plants is good.Through the effectiveness evaluation,it is found that the effectiveness of most Ex Situ conservation institutions in my country is relatively low,and many species have not yet achieved the purpose of preservation.The other species have not reached the purpose of preservation,but only a species display sample.4.Among the 31 provinces surveyed,there are no Ex Situ conservation agencies in Tianjin and Qinghai.At present,there are 50 key protected wild plants that have not been protected in any province,with a total of 50 species of 34 families,44 genera,accounting for 16.67% of the 300 species of national key protected wild plants(the first batch).Among them,there are 6 families,6 genera and 7 species of the first-level key protected wild plants,and 30 families,38 genera and 43 species of the second-level key protected wild plants.Among them,there are 39 species of plants endemic to my country and 20 species of plants that are not endemic to my country.Based on the obtained results,the existing problems are analyzed,and practical measures and suggestions to be taken in the future are put forward.
