BIM is the most popular technology in the civil construction industry in recent years.BIM(Building Information Modeling)and GIS(Geographic Information System)applied to the construction of transportation infrastructure have their own advantages but there are obvious deficiencies,there is an urgent need to integrate GIS and BIM technology to achieve complementarity and coexistence of advantages.However,since GIS and BIM use very different data model standards and technologies,there are obvious information barriers between them.So far,the integration of GIS and BIM technology is mainly in the conceptual stage,lacking systematic and perfect solutions,and there is no mature and reliable GIS+ BIM information management platform.Moreover,for transportation infrastructure projects,there is no complete BIM design parametric family library,and the limited BIM family library cannot be effectively combined with GIS.In addition,most of the existing BIM software is complex,bulky,difficult to use,and expensive,which restricts the rapid promotion and application of this excellent technology in the transportation industry.In view of this,the main research work of the paper is as follows:(1)Theoretical basis and platform selection of GIS and BIM for transportation infrastructure construction.On the basis of analyzing the obstacles of GIS and BIM integration,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of Bim and GIS core software,and reasonably selects Revit and cesium software as the technical support of Bim and GIS integration research.(2)Build a transportation infrastructure data model based on REVIT.Aiming at the problem of BIM lack of family library resources in terms of transportation infrastructure,a relevant BIM family library is established based on Revit to reduce the difficulty of BIM modeling and improve the modeling efficiency.At the same time,a rapid modeling scheme is used to build a transportation infrastructure data model based on bridge engineering as an example,which provides model data support for the integration of GIS and BIM research.(3)The study proposes an integrated method of GIS+BIM technology.Through the synchronous thinning of BIM models and attributes,as well as the classification and elimination of homogeneous components,the BIM model is lightweight and vectorized,the data structure shared by GIS and BIM is escaped by lightweight plug-in,and the intermediate semantics of GIS+BIM interrelated are established,the visual integration of BIM and GIS systems is solved,the data association and interactive query of key information of GIS and BIM are realized,and the information sharing of the two fields is completed.(4)Design the overall architecture of GIS+BIM information management platform for transportation infrastructure construction,and elaborate the engineering application examples of the platform.Based on the application requirements of GIS+BIM technology in the typical stages and important links of transportation infrastructure projects,the system architecture and functional architecture of the platform are reasonably designed.Relying on the construction project of a special bridge in Gong’an County,Hubei Province,the advantages of GIS+BIM integration technology and the practicality of the information management platform in engineering applications are verified.
