Construction Of Transmission Line On Gangao And Huangqihai Nature Reserve Biodiversity Impact Evaluation

Abstract/Summary:
This study was conducted in the context of the pre-construction period of the 110 k V power supply project of Huawei Cloud Service Data Center Phase III in Ulanqab and the500 k V transmission and substation project in Yihewusu(Hangjinqi).The biological resources within the areas of Ulanqab and Ordos,where the transmission and substation projects are located,were investigated to study the nature of their communities.The impact of the construction project on the biodiversity of the nature reserve during the construction and operation periods was predicted through field surveys of the landscape/ecosystem,biological communities,species,distribution of major conservation objects and their habitat,biosecurity and social factors in the project impact areas of the reserve.According to the technical specification for biodiversity impact evaluation of nature reserve construction projects(LY/T 2242-2014),the criteria for calculating the impact index of biodiversity in the impact evaluation area,the Delphi method was used to conduct the survey of biodiversity in the project area and the requirements for its impact evaluation index(BI)calculation.The results are as follows:(1)The impact index of the construction of the Phase III 110 k V power supply project of Huawei Cloud Service Data Center in Ulanqab on the biodiversity of Inner Mongolia Huangqihai Autonomous Region Nature Reserve(BI=50.71)is similar to that of the construction of the 500 k V power transmission project in Yihe Wusu(Hangjinqi)on the biodiversity of Inner Mongolia Ordos Ganga Nature Reserve(BI=51.34).It indicates that the construction of these two power transmission projects has a weak impact on the landscape/ecosystem of the evaluation area,a slight impact on the biological community of the evaluation area,and a small impact on the species or populations of the evaluation area.(2)The construction of Phase III 110 k V power supply project of Huawei Cloud Service Data Center in Ulanqab has almost no impact on the biosafety and social evaluation of Inner Mongolia Huangqihai Autonomous Region Nature Reserve and the construction of 500 k V transmission and substation project in Yihe Wusu(Hangjin Banner)on Inner Mongolia Ordos Gancao Nature Reserve.(3)The construction of Phase III 110 k V power supply project of Huawei Cloud Service Data Center in Ulanqab has a large impact on biological resources such as vascular type plants and birds in Inner Mongolia Huangqihai Autonomous Region Nature Reserve.(4)The construction of 500 k V transmission project in Yihewusu(Hangjin Banner)has a large degree of impact on the landscape resources such as woodland,grassland and inland mudflats in Inner Mongolia Erdos Ganga Nature Reserve.
